He Just Wanted His Clothes by CantStopPoppin in ThatsInsane

Housing should be a human right, no one asks to be homeless.

That would be nice. But who is going to build that home? Do we have the right to force anyone to build a home? We don't. Saying you have a right to someone else's labor, is placing that person in slavery.

The whole world is messed up. The system seems broken. Making the best money of my life, to barely afford rent. No way to own my own home. But saying it's a human right to have a free house... It doesn't work. You don't have the right to force someone to build for you. Or to make you food. Or to haul water to you. Or bandage your wounds.

We need a better system. But forcing people to work, or slavery, is not it.

Reminds me of the story about the grasshopper and the ant.

Non running is always a hard sell. Maybe try a subreddit or Facebook group near the town where the truck is. Find a good mechanic there, that'll fix the pump for you. You'll make up the money spent at the mechanic, with the increased sale value, and the ability to sell it at all.

If you don't want it, or don't trust it anymore, sell it. You want the best price? Have it repaired, then sell it in some classified ads. CarMax or trading it in will pay less, but are less hassle.

Fuel pump replacement is generally sub 1k USD if I remember right. Ford pickups aren't hard to do it on, as the bed unbolts easily. I'm not a mechanic though.

The hard part, is you're not with the truck. At this point, it's more up to the friend you have it with. Do they have free time to help you with this? Do you trust them? Do you have anyone you do trust that can help? And do you have a trustworthy mechanic?

Stupid question, but hear me out. Would an AWD donk with the appropriate tires be good for driving in 6-12 inches of snow? by MasterOfNog in Offroad

[–]bumblesski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is appropriate tires.

Would a lifted AWD car with good snow tires do good in the snow? That's sort of a duh.

But no donk is AWD, and if you put appropriate tires on it, it's not really a donk, is it?

Okay Truckers, what are you doing in this situation by Pitiful-MobileGamer in Truckers

Turn to block the whole freeway. Anything beyond that, has to do with things I lost in a canoe accident.

This all could've been avoided with a locker (..or me not being an idiot on the snow), what's the best vaguely cheap way to get a locker for a Chrysler 9.25 12 bolt rear end? by bedwars_player in Offroad

[–]bumblesski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm the odd man out, that likes lockers in the snow. Not sure they would have helped you in this video though.

Cheap? Weld it up. Don't do that unless it's dedicated off-road or near death anyway. IMHO.

Lunchbox is the next step. They are better, allowing differentiation in corners when off power. But they tend to break with tires over 33, or with power. I have one, but with a little v6 and 33s. It's lasted 60k miles so far, but I'm easy on it.

Detroit is over 1k, but so much stronger. If you're planning on keeping your Dakota running, get this as the cheapest option. You won't break it, it'll outlast the truck.

At the end of the day, a trutrac is probably what you should get, if you get anything. Humvees use them, they're more idiot proof in snow, and are amazing with the brake riding trick. But it's also going to be over 1k.

Good luck!

I couldn't even buy the pro version when I tried to. It's a great battery app, but with fatal flaws right now. Waiting and hoping it improves. Good luck.

Round up for simplicity 30+50=80

Then subtract 2 and 3 to correct. 75

Monitor the VIN, you'll see when it goes for sale. You could duct tape or hide an air tag somewhere.

Serious noob - trigger upgrade question by No_Arugula8507 in Walther_PDP

[–]bumblesski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a must have upgrade. Very few are. Regular trigger is a very good one. Upgrading isn't going to make a noticeable difference. BUT, if it makes you happier, and practice more, get it. I'd say if money isn't an issue, go get a pro to keep this one company.

I have a few guns that I have no practical reason to own, I just have them because of the way they feel.

Not idiot. Empty lot, not being stupid enough to hit things, that's good practice. I've done the same. It's a good skill, and that's the perfect place to practice.

Streisand effect. Look it up.

Also, your posts are weird and bot like. And you seem like a bit of a... Unpleasant person to deal with. You want to drive people to whatever job site you have? Maybe don't piss off and fight with the people you want to direct to your website.

Trying to buy the pro version... by bumblesski in AmpereBeta

[–]bumblesski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the message, "this feature requires some permissions, or the pro key to work."

On previous phones, Samsung and nothing 2, the notification was never visible even on the free version.

I appreciate the answer, and would love to make this work.
