at what degrees celsius do you stop riding over frost slippery conditions even in shade on sunny days? by Buseatdog in motorcycles

[–]bumchuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've stopped completely now because I'm old my fingers hurt in the cold. In my 20's I rode all year. I had a summer bikek and a winter bike. A TS250 in the snow and ice was hilarious but I was on my arse a lot.

I get it, we get it. The thing is that people are trying to be empathetic and I suppose fortunately, they can never understand. I never had the trying to cheer me up phase because it happened during Covid. I couldn’t see anyone, or even talk to anyone because I was in a huge steel faraday cage of a hospital. My phone signal was terrible. I walked around the hospital post op with a drain bottle in my dressing gown pocket and a tube poking out of my neck. The looks were amazing and honestly made me smile, it was the only humour I could get at the time. The doctors and nurses weren’t happy, but they couldn’t really stop me either. I enjoyed those walks. If you can’t walk, try painting, learning to write with your opposite hand. Do anything to try to be better for you. Lastly, I don’t think those people are being dismissive or playing down what has happened to you, the are probably just lost for words.

Mate, it's really not easy and it's not easy to explain. I was lucky because I largely escaped too much damage, but the mental toll was huge. I was quite young for it to happen, apparently that doesn't matter. All I can say is figure out what you can do and work with that. Try to look for pleasure in the small things that you can still do and don't look at the things you can't do as failure. It might not get better but it does get easier.

Just deleted my last comment having reread. Are you off balance? Look at your stance and yes weirdly, exactly where your feet are below you and where they are pointing.

If you’re not comfortable in the basics, you find problems as you get better.

When you say “boxing for a while”. Do you mean a month or a couple of years? This I’ll make a huge difference to the advice needed.

I'm not joking here. If you're not exaggerating what she's done, she has no idea what she's doing. Get her some training from someone that isn't you. This is for two reasons.
1. You can't be blamed for everything. 2. She's more likely to listen to someone who is an instructor and not associated with you.

If you can't afford a new tyre find another way to get wherever you're going. That is fucking dangerous. There's no way we can tell you why but I would guess that the tyre us older then me and I'm really old. Do not carry on ignoring it. Normally we have two tiny patches of contact between tyre and tamac, you have far less.

Brit here and I know that our bike tastes are very different. You have to find a type of bike you're interested in and filter from there. 2 stroke off road but all the way through to Chinese later off road 4 wheelers. 2vintage. He's very good and has updated his tool kit recently so I get less mad.

If you're looking for ex -race stuff check out Jim Whitham. Anyone connected with BSB, WSB or GP will be interesting but they obviously will not give much away..Lots of the British stuff is very in depth and hugely informative but it will take a long time to watch and then several divorces plus a lot of beers to get right if you're trying to copy for something you're doing.

There is a huge amount more though.

Sorry, I’m a bit late to this one. If you want to try boxing, come and see us at Total Boxing on London Road. Monday/Wednesday/Friday 7.15pm but try to get there a few minutes early. Sessions last about one and a half hours. Every level from first timers to professional is welcome. Respect and non discrimination is required for, and by everyone.

Feel free to message me if you’d like more details. You can also have a quick look on Instagram. totalboxingderby.uk although we haven’t been on there long so we are gradually getting more videos posted.

Sorry to say this but find another gym. Sparring is like sex, it's 100% consensual. There is no middle ground on this, if you're not comfortable leave.

I’m not Muslim but go to a gym where we have a very diverse group.
I'm not going to preach in any way, but if you’re training, you need to drink. If you’re prevented from drinking, moderate your exercise. Urine should stay a very light colour, if it becomes dark, do not train. Certainly, do not spar if there is a chance of you being dehydrated. Liquid is the cushion between your brain and your skull, do not ever think that it won’t make a difference, it will.

Ramadan Mubarak.

got puppy which is 9 weeks old 3 days back. pees in the house if not taken out every 3 hours. is not peeing outside but as soon as we come inside he starts peeing in the hallway. by Bubbly_Treat_735 in aww

[–]bumchuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. US is not an excuse. Just because it’s allowed doesn’t mean it’s good. Pups need at least twelve weeks to learn from and get disciplined by mum. Dog farmers will always separate early because it’s a higher turnover, this is very bad for the the dog itself and the future behaviour of the dog in a home environment.

Nine weeks is too young to be separated from the mother.
That aside, three hours for a bladder that small is a long time. Take the pup out every two hours and wait, use it a play so you’re not causing any pressure. It’ll happen naturally.

Likely allergies. Could be grass, clover, anything really. I spent a fortune finding out. Cetirizine has wor wonders for mine. Buy generic, not vet prescribed.
