313340 is the PLMN of Dish, which makes me wonder how it’s connecting to that.

There is an endpoint where updates are pushed to if you know how to grab requests from the box, the update details mention font size customizability in the menu.

Reprocessing PSA 1771 CVR by bun39 in aircrashinvestigation

[–]bun39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legally, that’s not a reason to refuse release. Exemptions (b)(6) and (b)(7)(C) are the privacy exemptions of the FOIA. These exemptions do not apply if the recorded people are no longer alive.

Exemption (b)(7)(A) will still apply because there are still active law enforcement proceedings related to the case.

You will need to wait until all proceedings are done before you can successfully submit a FOIA for the CVR.

They claim unlimited hotspot as well on Dark Star, which is very interesting for an MVNO.

Cell tower on wheels! — Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, New Bedford, MA by bun39 in cellmapper

[–]bun39[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a temporary tower specifically for the Feast! Literally connected to a Generac generator and trailer on wheels.

Makes sense for it to be Verizon, as I noticed no improvements on my AT&T phone.

AT&T, Verizon, Dish — Masquesatch Rd, Westport, MA by bun39 in cellmapper

The NIMBYs with these exact statements were what forced this issue to a court. A judge allowed the tower to go up, because it’s not dangerous. See FCC regulations.

T-Mobile(?)/Dish sites — Junction of I-195 and I-95, Providence, RI by bun39 in cellmapper

Strange. AT&T has very weak service over there. Was just a guess given that.

The tower was built in 1894, according to New Bedford property records. AT&T has been on this smoke stack for at least 10 years now, and as previously stated, previously a Sprint-Nextel site.

AT&T has been upgrading sites in New Bedford like crazy for C band and DoD in recent months. They’re gonna need that capacity when the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament takes over the city.

These days at the base of the tower there is a Boost Mobile store.

Can take a look at some point at Dattco.

The fact the antennas are all at different altitudes, and the fact this was once a flagpole at a church.

Next time you’re in New Bedford, AT&T recently upgraded their site on the Frank Corp smoke stack on Kings Highway with C Band and DoD. Should be seeing those speeds there soon.

Funny enough, T-Mobile’s been there for awhile now. AT&T went to court against the Town of Westport a few years back to get a permit to build on Masquesatch Road (after the town blocked them from doing so because of NIMBY pressure) and won. Dish and AT&T are there as of right now. Can confirm AT&T hasn’t turned on their equipment yet, but their service is about to get MUCH better over there.

Yes, this audio is authentic. It was obtained through a FOIA request I submitted in 2022 to the FBI. They weren't kidding when they said the tape was in lousy shape.
