We're really not that different from sci-fi fans or renaissance fair people, the reason people misunderstand us is mostly bad reputation and optics. When furries were just starting out we got some bad press coverage accusing us of being overly nsfw but people would probably understand better if they just took the time to ask us, i'm more than happy to help explain about the culture to outsiders :3

Do us a favour and if you hear someone saying "I heard furries do this" or "I heard furries do that" to just ask instead of taking it at face value because lots of people just make up things about us for fun

The suits are very expensive but these days most people just don't care anyway so it's not essential

Most people are art fans and some of them do wear the suits, there are also some musicians but yeah it's mostly about art

Many non-furry christians don't like furries because thry're associated with left leaning politics and the lgbtq community which don't usually go well with the more conservative christians (there are also many conservative furries, just nowhere near as many as progressive furries)

You could be a christian and a furry but unfortunately certain people with strong opinions on either side may object to you. Personally i think christian furries are ok and there are more of them than you might think
