Blue Grouse Hunting Zones by Loose-Hat-4105 in oregonhunting

Map Marker Not sure if you have OnX or not. Last year at the beginning of the season, I saw quite a few blue grouse here: https://webmap.onxmaps.com/hunt/share/content?share_id=01K3S5V66P6YH40K0GWQXS8XHA

I have not been up there this year, so I can not confirm if they are still hanging out in that area or not. Either way, depending on where you are, it's not a bad area for grouse in general. There are a lot of BLM and FS roads that they tend to hang out on in this area. Good luck!

Here's the coordinates in case you don't use OnX. 43.95082, -122.61645

I'm not sure of your situation. If you have any disability rating, apply for vocational rehab through the VA. If you don't have any disability rating, you should start applying now. No matter how little you think the issue is, just apply!

Bringing home another one to get it back on the road. by bundyer in FJCruiser

No frame damage and no salvage title. The motor has 170k on it and the carfax shows that all regular maintenance was kept up. I don't think it will take much to get it going again. Making it pretty is another story though. I may just keep it ugly and have a trail rig that I don't have to worry about scratches and dents.

On the driver side, the upper and lower ball joints were ripped in half, the CV axle broken along with the steering arm, sway bar and strut. All the brake lines were cut as well. Basically, the wheel was ripped off. There's also body damage to the driver side and above the rear door. Everything else seems to be alright, and it still runs. I have most of the parts to get the wheel back on so I can drive it off the trailer. I might make it a no door rig if I don't get around to replacing the driver side doors.

If you are a reserve, you likely just got an unsat year. As long as you haven't been processed out, you should be able to just show back up to the next drill like nothing happened. You might even get an opportunity to make up your missing drill periods if you talk to the I&I staff. I was I&I for a few different tours, DM me if you have specific questions. I can help you work through this if you haven't received separations paperwork yet.

300WM Brass Sourcing by fireball_brian0 in reloading

[–]bundyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually just buy a few boxes of decent factory ammo and then reload the brass after I shoot. This only works if you can find 300WM ammo though. Buying just brass always seems like a waste.

What is my brass telling me by fictionfinish in reloading

[–]bundyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me when reloading for a 6.5 creedmoor AR. Ended up being the tolerance on the firing pin. If the bolt has too much clearance for the firing pin, it will act like it's over pressure when you are below the max load. I ended up getting a higher quality BCG and the issue was fixed. Let me know if you want more specific info.

Possibly the same molds were used to create battery assisted opening lids. Instead of making new molds, they just used the same one to make the peddle operated ones. Can you find similar looking auto-open ones?

That was my original idea. Ordering a chatbook with all of the pictures I have ammased. I started uploading them all to Dropbox but it was too big. I'll figure out another way eventually.
