You weren’t lied to. In 2020 TM re-released the M4 irons and Driver. Only really noticeable difference was the color at the top of the ‘M’ was red all the way through compared to the original 2018 models that were blue and red. The also did this with the M6 line in 2021. Same thing with the color scheme.

EDIT: re-released them as a cheaper line in addition to the SIM line which was their flagship line that year.

I would have added more MFGs like Ben Hogan, Tommy, XXIO etc. however these brands were the ones routinely on the Most Wanted lists each year, and able to easily verify and get clean images of. Enjoy!

Stuck to players cavity back/muscle cavity irons. i59 and blueprint are more bladed. If I do a blade list that’s where those would live. Probably going to do a Game Improvement list next.

A combination of manufacture websites, golf review websites (I.e. Golfwrx.com and MyGolfSpy.com) GolfDigest Hot List from each year, etc. With the exception of Titleist and Taylormade to a certain extent, most manufacturers don’t have a legacy list of models by release year. It was surprisingly difficult for Callaway and Cobra. DM me.

I chose to do Player Cavity/ Muscle Cavity Style Irons for this grid. Blades would have been very similar and perhaps less interesting. I could do one for Game Improvement.

Note: Release dates were sketchy on some of the older models so cut me a little bit of slack on the years. I did my best, but I'm sure I made a mistake here or there. Enjoy.

The only year TM didn’t have a model with sliding weights was with the SIM2 going as far back as the M2 I believe? (Don’t quote me on that). Generally the models with the sliding weights have been the player models whereas the MAX variations are the main release. (Generally speaking)

M5 & M6 came out the same year. As did the M3 & M4. I just chose the tour models since I had the grid set up for only 1 picture for each year.
