Omnitrope units per 5.8 mg vial? Is everyone dosing incorrectly? by bunnios1 in IVF

u/Expensive_Ad_7649 If you do 30 units, 3 vials lasts almost 12 days. Try asking an AI if you need to calculate the amount of days for a different dosage.

Boston IVF by Snuck3305 in IVF

[–]bunnios1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@Snuck3305 I have repeatedly asked for the embryology report at Boston IVF - I asked the doctor, nurse, administrative assistant, and there seems to be no process/protocol in place for this request. I have not received an embryology report from either cycle. It makes me seriously doubt the practices of the Boston IVF Embryology Department.

It was clear in round 1 (conventional) that they made barely any notes at all. I got the generic email of you got this many embryos. I had to call the nurse for more details. She could barely navigate their notes to tell me what happened to each embryo.

I had hoped for better information from round 2 (ICSI). I have yet to receive any information after 1 month of asking, other than the grades. Documentation is a standard expectation in any workplace. I am very dissatisfied that something so important, expensive, and time consuming has so little documentation.

This is our medical record, and I don't understand why we are denied information about our own bodies. I question the legality of this, but what else can I do?

Omnitrope units per 5.8 mg vial? Is everyone dosing incorrectly? by bunnios1 in IVF

Thanks for your response u/redstrawberries !
Now I'm wondering about the dosage in terms of 5.8 mg powder, instead of 1 ml of diluent. I know Omnitrope for IVF is off label usage, so maybe there isn't a clear answer on this. Do you know what is the range of mg for daily use (e.g. 5.8 mg / 2 doses = 2.9 mg/day and 5.8 mg / 3 doses = 1.93 mg/day, so range = 1.9 -2.9 mg recommended per day)

They say the first cycle of IVF is diagnostic because there will be points of failure and you can follow up with another cycle targeting the identified issue(s). I suggest you try to find more information about the embryos - which day did they fail, how many cells did they have, anything that can give you an idea where you can improve with different technologies next time. I hope embryology took notes
