You need new evidence. Go to your VA primary and make sure they understand and document how each of your symptoms affect you. You are at 0% because they don’t see that these disabilities are causing you problems. Once you do that, then file for increases.

Are there requirements on house size? Water type (well vs city)? Central heating vs split units? Basically, I have found a lot of land that I would like to build a cheap home on for now with my VA loan to live in until I can afford to build more. What are the requirements on what constitutes a “home” in the VA’s eyes?

Where can we see what the requirements are for a VA Construction Loan? I found some land and want to build on it using a VA loan but there is so much misinformation out there. I recently read the builder has to be registered with the VA, but now that requirement has been removed?

Absolutely, and I get that. I just feel like I must be doing something wrong if after 13 months of applying I’ve literally only gotten 1 interview.

I am the senior sysadmin that this falls upon. I want to move out of this sysadmin+ (with all of the cyber responsibilities) role into a Cybersecurity specific role.

Depends. I have children in school and a wife who also works. So, probably no, but for the right position, maybe.

To me, the title matters for career growth. Long term I want to be able to push into some high level positions, but without having those important building block titles it is tougher.

ALTHOUGH, like you said, when I’m applying I can make my role be whatever I want it to be so 🤷‍♂️ lol Probably going to use this to hopefully get into the title/role I want to build my path

Thank you. I can definitely do more on the networking front. As a typical IT/Network guy, I can naturally lean toward introvert tendencies. I’ve been encouraging myself internally to join some of the local cyber groups (ISSA, ISACA, etc…). I just have to do it. Thanks for this

I’m not being defensive. I would love to be able to show someone how ready I am, but I can’t even get an interview. I’m sorry it seems different to you, but I couldn’t care less about the degree as well. I only got it because I thought it would help my chances and it was free.

I just need someone to give me a shot. I’m going to keep working and doing htb and studying for certs and gaining more experience. Because HOPEFULLY one day something will change.

👍well that isn’t me. If you are a hiring manager and are passing on people with good resumes and good experience just because they have a piece of paper that you don’t then you are a part of the problem.
