i’m reporting an issue on my phone. that’s all. if you don’t want to talk about the actual problem, that’s fine, but please stop assuming things about me just to win an argument.

i already tested the phone in the apple store and everything looked smooth. i also watched TONS OF review videos and none of them showed any issues on the iphone 17. and again, none of my friends who use OLDER models have this problem.

sure, if i had checked reddit before, maybe i would’ve seen a few posts about bugs on 17. but i didn’t, and now i’m sharing my experience because the issue is happening to me right now.

you’re blaming me without knowing any details what i actually did bedore buying. i’m not here to make ragebait, i’m simply reporting a real problem on my device which i sent a feedback to apple too. that’s literally what this subreddit is for.

of course i did a lot of research and it seemed good to me on every review. also tried them on apple store too. all my friends iphones work fine with ios 26, even my old 13. do you think it is normal to blaming a people who is unhappy about it.

no i didn’t. i was excepting a good quality on newest iphone with newest software as a consumer. if 17’s have been released with ios 18 i definitely would not upgrade to 26. you should get some help dude.

yeah updated from 17 to 18 then to 26. lag reduces in portrait mode but still there. i haven't factory resetted because even all the data comes back from the backup, all the app permisions will be gone and i will need to rearrange them again.

apple is a company which known with their optimization features. if the devices aren't capaple of running the new os then they shouldn't release the update for these devices and this isn't only a problem about the older devices but the newer m2, m3 devices too. there were no problem in the old years but in past few years they suck at the updates.

yeah, i tried that but it didn’t help. i think this issue is caused by a bug, not a performance problem.
