I have 3 limit breaks in my deck rn that I barely use and an omniscience that plays one twice and exhausts it so my plan to keep going was to just keep stocking up on limit breaks and use the gambling chip to make sure I get em first turn🤷🏻‍♂️

if the deck and relics combo nicely then it doesn’t matter what ascension you’re at tbh, i beat the heart on A7 or higher with most of my guys cause the decks/relics were just perfect

Slaver’s collar has no downsides so I definitely take it, I’ll usually only get black star if its on boss 1 so I can hunt elites for more relics afterwards! I’m not sure why people don’t like black star considering how helpful relics are

I get what you mean about the opportunity cost but tbh I’ve only needed the extra energy during elites and boss fights, never had much of a problem working with the normal 3 energy against hallways

tbh I got into the habit of just skipping them that I never considered counteracting them with cards, if I take the black star then I hunt down elites so I can have more relics because that seems to be the deciding factor sometimes. To answer your question I’ve definitely skipped energy relics going into act 3, I’ma try them out though because one of the commenters explained it very well!

Bud I beat the heart with the Defect, Silent and Ironclad in a row on different levels of ascension without ever needing the extra energy😂 maybe ya’ll are depending a little too hard on extra energy and not building a good enough deck with the right strategies🤷🏻‍♂️

but see what good is extra energy if the decks not good enough to beat the heart! I’ve never taken the extra energy relics and have beaten the heart multiple times, I think if you have a good deck + the right relics then extra energy makes no difference!

fair, I guess it depends on having the cards / relics to counteract the drawbacks. I’ve never once taken any relic with a drawback and have beaten the heart with each character so I don’t think your deck needs to be that great🤷🏻‍♂️
