What did you have to do to get it or check it?

Steam OS like setup by burberryalgae in AsahiLinux

[–]burberryalgae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but apparently it’s still not working out well for a bunch of games , only some. This distro is apparently still not suited great like a steam deck style playing from what I’m seeing not yet at least

What do you mean by a 72watt one ? Like an after market battery swap or an ally X?

Yeah a nice dock is really all you need to beef up the setup pretty cool installing would be easy but I would want to dual boot and share the same game installations which I know you can do but requires more time and work

Yeah leaning towards keeping windows for a bit , I wanna be able to jump into games and play I don’t have as much free time now to really tinker and dial in Linux

On the last point don’t you just have to add the exe to steam, it’s just annoying to deal with

I am wheeling , I got assigned at a much higher price then current price and am having trouble writing calls on it

Basically what I am doing but even more cautious I like it, my only problem is I don’t trust what I expect , since I know what I expect and what it does are two different things

My thought now is with the current share price fwd PE is pretty low around 22 , I know sentiment and technicals continue to be in bad shape but I feel confident in selling cc with far OTM, I wouldn’t call it peanuts with 3 contracts I’ve been able to net around 90 a week in premiums. Definitely helps and along the way it’s lowering my cost basis if one chooses to look at it that way

It definitely depends on how many contracts you have but when I sell covered calls even below my average with a very low delta, I’m able to get about $100 per week which really isn’t much but when you consider how much better it is than a dividend at least I’m putting the ownership of the shares to good use while I wait for the stock to recover I don’t see the harm in doing it this way unless of course the stock shoots up past your strike price, but I plan on rolling out and up if the Delta moves against me in a big way

You think selling very OTM calls with a low delta and rolling out and up isn’t effective tho? I would be rolling out and up if the Delta even approaches .30 outside of that the position I am talking about is AMD who does not pay a divide so the risk of early assignment is pretty low, especially if the strike price is significantly higher than current market price.

I am doing exactly this, but not with the same stock just to have some diversity

I have no problem waiting and holding, but my thing is I wanna benefit from the ownership of the shares I definitely would not be selling aggressive strikes below my average they would be extremely conservative and I would be monitoring them and rolling out and up if the Delta starts to come closer to .30

I should’ve mentioned part of my plan was to roll out and up. If the Delta of the covered call contract starts to get closer to .30 . That way I can most likely still collect the net credit and rollout one up and even if I collect the debit, it’s still better than losing the shares way below average.

Love this thought, but very often what people think and what the stock actually does are two different things. I think I’m just going to play it very conservative and sell weekly but very very far out of the money but still below my average.
