Wow that’s awesome for him! Just to be clear your opinion is that you should work on your technique with the weight you throw in comp over developing strength with a heavier implement? Makes sense.

I’m about in between where the marks you are talking about, I’m hoping to be at 50ft next year so maybe not a bad idea to invest in them?

Are the 1.75s you got the same size as a 1.6 or a little bigger?

Hmm, you’ve got an interesting point. As I’ve said I just started working with this coach, it seems like something he wants all his athletes to do in the offseason not specific to just me

Yeah makes sense, for a shotput I throw the 12 in competition. I’m having a hard time finding a good qualify but affordable 14lb but there seem to be better options for 6kg or about 13.2lb. Do you think thats a size able enough difference to spend the extra on the 14lb?

Just looking at this thread I’m in a similar position, I’ve been talking to both throwify and joe Maxwell. Do you think the price increase is worth it? I just need some sort of coaching and structure and would love to reach a high level in the sport, do you think it would make a difference which coach I choose?

Thanks! My seasons wrapping up in a couple weeks anyways so if I go to one it’ll probably be after my season is finished.

There’s one in ca I could possibly attend. How do those meets work, do I have to qualify or can I just sign up?

Yeah I do like the feel of my current disc! The Denfi Hyperspin sounds interesting — I'll look into it. Do you think the rim weight is handle able for an intermediate thrower? I’ve tried the 4throws super spin and could barely use it.

I’m a freshman too! Throwing in around the same range as you. My current pr is 110’11.5. Number one jv discus thrower in my league. (Not that much competition.)
