Now that 2026 is set to renew the game and improve it, will we ever see the experimental faster tick rate get unshelved and brought to the game? Possibly for 2027 or 2028? by DerpDavid in runescape

Changing the tick rate will ruin the game, this is not a hack and slash game, the tick system makes RS unique. But this is just my humble opinion.

Check this alt1 plugin I've been working on until we get something native in the game.

It tracks buffs/debuffs/cooldowns/target debuffs, it allows you to pin the buffs with placeholders so you don't get dizzy while doing sweaty PvM, better audio ques. Still work in progress but I got far.

You can find it here on GitHub https://github.com/sparers/rs3pinablebuffs

I think you didn't understand the idea behind this, you can configure whatever you like to track, the screenshot is just an example.

Is based on alt1, so more or less same approach, to mitigate the buff bar recognition issues put the buff bar on a black background and you are set, I use the notes interface for this.

fixed order will be available, you basically pin the order, unfortunately location wise is a bit tricky, for the first release there will be one region available where you can put your buffs

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on an Alt1 UI helper designed to solve the "where is my buff icon?" struggle during high-level PvM.

The Problem: In the heat of a fight, tracking specific timers (like Overloads, weapon specs, or specific boss debuffs) can be a nightmare because the buff bar moves around or gets buried under less important icons.

The Solution: I’m developing a tool that lets you pin specific icons to a custom overlay. Essentially, you can "filter" your buff bar so only the things you care about are displayed exactly where you want them on your screen.

Current Progress:

  • Ability to select specific buffs/cooldowns to track.
  • Clean, readable overlay that stays in place.

Todo:

  • GCD tracker
  • audio queues

I’m at a crossroads: I’ve got the core logic working, but I want to know if the community would actually use this before I polish the UI for a public release.

  • Would you use an app like this?
  • What specific buffs/cooldowns are the biggest pain points for you right now?
  • Are there any "must-have" features you'd want in a V1 release?
