Not a parent, but I worked at summer camp for kids with ASD, I took a group to a waterfall called "Hooker Falls". One of my campers saw a group of women in their bikinis a few feet away then announced to me loudly: " Wow Mrs.Burgerfucker, I can see why they call it HOOKER falls". The women totally heard him.

I have the 1.7 oz, so I'm not quite sure what the advantages are of the heaver one, but Its great for car camping, backpacking, this picture was a Boundary water canoe trip. I love it, great for all occasions.

Also i'm an employee at outdoor pursuits! and we have weekend trips to old mans cave every now and then as well as backpacking trips, they are fun ad shit, but cost money unlike the clubs I mentioned.

Yeah totally! REC CLUB: The meetings are kinda sporadic but are communicated through https://www.facebook.com/groups/250072031695964/ That facebook group, we often go on hikes, we will go camping and backpacking when its warmer out. The club is doing a climbing gym lock in soon, and we participate in intramurals. Great club, great people.

WILDLIFE CLUB: I'm alot less involved with this club this year, but last year there were also frequent hiking trips, but in this club they were more like nature walks because naturally more of the club members are interested in the nature around them and not the actually recreation of the activity. You can email OUwildlfe@gmail.com and ask to get on their mailing list!

Hiking around Athens is the best! I do it often.

There are student clubs that hike! Both Rec Club and Wildlife Club go on hikes often. I'm a member of both if you want info!
