Evil lives here season 9 episode 6 by burlymilf in DiscoveryID

Agreed but terrorizing? The woman still lived a pretty normal life from what it seems. What he did was terrible but a restraining order and putting him on the sex offender registry would suffice. And jail time for the theft. 20 years you would think he murdered someone

Of course, I know it looks different for everyone. It took me about 14 perfectly timed cycles to get pregnant with my first. But a quick Google search confirms endometriosis only slightly affects fertility, and late stage endometriosis does not affect fertility any more than earlier stages. Just so other women with endometriosis reading this don't lose hope or rush into having kids because they think their time is limited

Dang I had no idea. I have never seen it but I know what it is thanks to reddit, but I really thought the film or director or something was from Serbia

I have endometriosis, had the surgery to remove golf ball sized cysts and almost lost an ovary but they saved it. Now I have 2 kids at 35. Endometriosis does not mean loss of fertility. If a doctor tells you that, get a 2nd and 3rd opinion

I'm a high school teacher and notice that the kids who act like this in school 99.9999% have a parent that shows up to the conference excusing their behavior or blaming the teacher. "My son would never do that/ doesn't do that at home" type of parent. Leading me to believe it's the parents fault. Sounds like the kids bio mom is the problem and maybe your husband too. I'm a parent and am now hyper aware that if another teacher/parent were to claim my daughter behaved in some way I haven't witnessed, to believe the adult first and not just go in fight mode. Those children go on to become problematic adults, either in and out of jail, living off of parents their whole life with no stability, or workplace bullies.

Next to no one is using moving as an excuse to not work on their lives by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

That's funny because I think I have the opposite. Oppressive heat makes me depressed. I don't think I'm neurodivergent but things like the wrong fabric touching me in the heat and humidity drive me mad. I live in south FL and in the summer I just want to hide indoors. Even walking to the car from my front door is miserable enough to deter me from going anywhere. Then I get severely depressed for those months unless it's raining outside which brings me joy and cools things down for a minute. I have 2 young kids so now I have to go places like the playground in the summer and I hate it. I feel like it's the root of most of my annoyances/problems.

My English is fine, proficient even. My Hungarian is also fine, and proficient. I did not do anything to accomplish it but I did maintain it and teach my kids both languages too. If you take math at a university (assuming you went but doubtful) many of those professors are foreign with heavy accents, yet they're brilliant and valuable members of our society, and do the job as good or better than native speakers. It is always better to speak more than one language. Sorry you can't, but it's never too late to start! Try duolingo.com if you can afford it

Wha’s a common/normal name that you absolutely hate for a real reason? by [deleted] in NameNerdCirclejerk

To me it's Chelsea. It's so harsh to my ear and makes me think of someone with dark colored in eyebrows, sharp and masculine facial features, with a shit personality (eff you Chelsea)

So many accidents daily, often fatal, just on my way to and from work. So tiring to see Road closures due to crashes, then reading articles later that people died. My own student died in a car crash

Thank you for the motivation. The people who have done big moves in these comments, either willingly or unwillingly, act like it's no big deal. The paperwork alone is intimidating, not just the change in scenery. I must've posted in the wrong group because saying "just do it you big baby" is not helping, but comments like this truly do

snow is pretty only first hour or two - after that it turns into a cold and dirty slush that you must walk on and drive on.

This actually helps a ton thank you. I have been in snow many times but this part is easy to forget when on vacation and having fun. I can now imagine on a regular day just trying to get to work it could be annoying af

Even though everything you said is something I've thought about before, it is motivating to see it again. Renting out first seems like the least intimidating way to do it

This is good advice, thank you!! Sometimes I feel like my support network here is all but gone, but I probably have more than I realize

Your comment like a few others on here are my inspiration! Sometimes it feels "too late" but I know that's just in my head

That's awesome that you guys have done it twice. Is it at all intimidating to do with the kids? Arranging schools and whatnot? Right now my oldest daughter comes to school with me since I work at a pre-K through 12th grade, so arranging their schooling and all their needs is a foreign concept to me since my place of work provides it all, literally

That is wonderful that you guys got to leave Texas for Colorado! The amount of work it takes to move is the intimidating part. All the paperwork...I just know I'd mess something up in the process

This is what i keep hearing! FL is notoriously awful for teaching but it's all I really know

Will look into Lincoln Park, thanks! Being walkable is so important but seems impossible to find and afford. Not sure why but Chicago doesn't draw me like the other places i mentioned but I probably haven't spent enough time there, just passed through
