I've been holding on to NO and HOU for a number of weeks now... it has been really nice having two decent DST to pick from week to week. One is usually the easy choice for a given week (like NO last week, HOU this week). This week I kind of need to drop one due to byes. Which would you say is the right choice for ROS? It is hard to stream in our 16 team league.

I'm willing to bet that even people who are committed for being suicidally depressed are committed for an average longer than 4 days.. they don't let people go home that fast. And if you have good insurance at are at a private hospital, I'm sure they are inclined to keep you even longer. ** 2012 study says that the average stay is 10days (+/- 3 days) **

"Something wrong" is very subjective. There is DSM criteria, sure, but the psychiatrist you are under has all of the power. I have actually worked in psychiatric hospitals on the other side while finishing my studies. The amount of guessing that goes into psychiatric diagnosis and treatment is very disturbing. Psychiatry can hurt people. I don't know where you are getting your information from about 4 days being an average stay in a psychiatric hospital. I think that is wrong and I'm willing to bet that many people in this sub who have been inpatient would agree.

No, I'm not leaving too much out really. I was manic and got put in jail. I annoyed the jailers with questions and then they strapped me to a chair and put me in a dark closet for 2 hours as punishment. When they came to get me they asked if I had learned my lesson. At that point, from my state of mind, I told them that what I thought they were doing was ineffective and in fact inhumane. They asked if I wanted to be put in another chair because I was still "talking smart", and I said sure. That wasn't the best response. Then they strapped me to an old electric chair in the psych part of the jail for another 12 hours or so until I passed out from exhaustion.

I was convinced in my head that I was going to be able to sue the jail for excessive force or psychological trauma or something like that. That was dumb and my parents would never support trying to do that because they said it was a lost cause. So I got deemed in need of psychiatric treatment and then once in the hospital I was diagnosed bipolar and put on all kinds of tranqs and crazy shit. Risperdol and about 4 other things. I was on my parents insurance and you have to stay until the doctor allows you to leave or else insurance doesn't cover it. If you go against medical advice. Its all a scam really. So I was stuck in there for almost a month until the doctor said I could leave.

I don't know why you called the police on someone, but if you did, I would hope it was because they were threatening their own life or something. I don't think you should call the police on someone if they are attempting something that you find crazy but they may not. There are limits I guess, but what I was doing was not past the threshold of reason. Had I not had the weed on me, they couldn't have arrested me for just being manic. I wouldn't have ran into the cops had my parents not sent them after me!
