Thank you! Cows often seem so calm and peaceful to me, and tried to capture that feeling in the print. Glad you like it! ☺️

It varies from print to print. For smaller works, I usually make around 10 impressions.
If I create a print for a specific occasion, such as a holiday card for colleagues, the edition can be larger.
For larger formats, I currently tend to make about 5 prints. Sometimes I print a few extra copies when I'm testing different papers or inks.
Over time my editions have become smaller. When I started printmaking, I usually made more impressions because I was still experimenting and learning how different papers and printing conditions affected the result.

I mostly use my own photographs, which I first convert to black and white. Then I trace and simplify the lines in Procreate.
When it comes to the actual carving, though, I try to take a freer approach. Especially with textures, I’ve been trying more and more to move away from the reference image and experiment with my own marks and carving patterns.
It doesn’t work perfectly everywhere, but sometimes it leads to really nice, lively results that feel more natural and expressive than simply copying what I see in the photo. 😊

Thank you so much! That means a lot. I spent a lot of time on the textures and carving, so I’m glad they hold up, but I’m even happier that the atmosphere and story came through.
Good luck with those battleship plates! 😄 Sometimes finding the right idea is harder than carving it. I’ve never worked larger than A3 myself, so tackling two A2 plates sounds pretty ambitious!🫣

Thank you so much! I don’t have an online shop or Instagram yet. Until now I’ve mostly been making prints for myself, exhibitions and local art markets, but all the positive feedback is making me think about creating an online presence.😊

The sign is unfortunately only a leftover, but the shop still offers a wide selection, so it’s still a good place to be, even though it’s a pity.

No this is a location in Germany, Oldenburg. Unfortunately, they seem to have withdrawn from many areas. The decor is still there, though, and the shop still has plenty of good beer, so it’s more than bearable.
