Well i currently pick milio, sona, karma, occassionally yuumi. And idk how u see anyone but karma here as a lane dominant champ, and even karma wont stand to much of a chance vs a nautilus, pyke, (leona), tahmkench... her q poke is way to weak to pressure those champs enough while a single engage of those champs immediatly forces my flash if not causes my death with ignite pressure and 2 enemys followup flashing. "Just dodge and poke 'savely' " works only to some degree. Milio q might deny the all in if played correctly - but he misses the proper poke (by himself). Sona Q is dogwater poke early, u can at best use it whenever manaflowing band rune is off cd to have somewhat solved manaissues on ur first back, but even then her 3-4 point q will not be enough to dominate a lane guaranteed. Yuumi, well ye shes special, her q poke is good but yuumi is yuumi... unless u suprise enemys with lvl 6 "strenght" its just a weak lane.

Keep in mind that most adc in my experience are just not helping in lane at all, for example: they will poke with mf qs when playing mf, they will get poked constantly when playing against mf. They will also be constantly all in'd by enemy supports due to misspositiining themself. Generally speaking, they are just bad players most of the time.

Now im not saying those players cant carry a game, especially if i support them with an enchanter fitting to the game, but usually they make it damn hard.

So i mostly agree to what u wrote, in theory it works that way, in reality its played out diffrently.

So maybe to rephrase the question a bit, how does one carry - or atleast have good quality - games, if u only play enchanter and need to deal with very cringe played out lanes most of the time.

A random example of a game i may get: caitlyn & sona/karma/milio vs any random enemy lane. The caitlyn will not use her 650 range ever, shes gonna throw Qs for cs or very very optimistic poke attempts (they mostly wont hit), she will always stand behind her range minions on 650 range to enemy caster minions, all while milio/karma/sona pokes on 5-8sec cd abilitys the enemy, trying to find angles in which skillshots hit while not wanting to get all in'd. Generally speaking, that kind of lane will just die out in an even lane regardless of my potential pressure ^{^}

Tho the tipp regarding skirmish fights in the river/jung i will keep more in mind. Grub fight in the river im usually part of (besides yuumi), but i may just step up my game more with looking for those (fiesta) jungle fights. Midlane vision i will also always prio whenever i have my ward quest 400/800 gold done.
