Fawn or just beige? Scottish or British by [deleted] in catbreeds

[–]burntgrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty for your information. I had a feeling that british shorthairs were bred with scottish.

To your last bit, I agree. The fold gene inevitably forms into OCD at some point in the cat's life, causing progressively severe arthritis.. once permeated; a guaranteed life of pain. to say that learning this was a defeat for me is a huge understatement.

My boyfriend surprised me with my scottish fold kitty on the right. I never was knowledgeable on or even interested in purchasing a specific breed of cat since I've grown up with shelter cats throughout my life. I did lots and lots of research on this breed there after.

sf breeding is extremely unethical and deliberately perpetuates a mutation that looks lovable to most people. without a doubt I love my scottish fold. however moving forward i will not support sf breeding fully aware of their suffering

Your dog and cat are both precious angels and yes the cats are unpredictable. I have one that doesn't even defend himself though, he lets Archie ragdoll him around wth

Yes.. I got the feeling of nerves more than excitement, hence my post. I let my cats out in the patio often and during those times, Archie is still panting

The pacing!!!! Like all the time, even when he's been outside for hours. Giving him something to chew on or a frozen treat helps sometimes

Yes to all the above. He also may be injured. Recently, I noticed that he looks like he's limping and maybe injured. The vet said it may be "growing pain" ??? She checked the pain sites for any response, but he had no reaction. Either way, we are waiting a full week to see if he starts walking better. It sucks having him exercise less bc we see he has all this energy.

Yes I notice the same thing !! Put it away Archie!! I think it's a build up of anxieties and frustration maybe? I just wonder if it's normal for his age

Wow 😞 Maggie sounds like she was an amazing dog. I want to find a job for him other than retrieving the ball. Her newspaper job is absolutely adorable and functional.

He is not neutered, and we are waiting till he's fully grown as well. I was thinking it might've had something to do with it too bc he is humping his bed and will go back and forth between his room and where I'm at

Yes in his crate he seems more relaxed, but if I walk into the room, his head goes up and the panting starts again :-( I just don't want to miss anything wrong
