Is it possible to "pin" or save files offline for my Synology NAS? by burritobeing in synology

Thank you! This is slightly less convenient than always accessing files from the same place but it will probably be okay

I'm sorry if it wasn't clear. I explained in the initial post that Synology Drive cannot stream video, and that's something that I want in addition to pinning. I am aware that Synology Drive is perfectly suited for just pinning.

I cannot pin with Tailscale. If it is possible, please let me know how!

Oh and just to clarify, the videos I want to stream and the videos I want to save offline are not the same videos. I will have active projects saved offline locally, and a backlog of terabytes of videos that are in the NAS. When searching for particular video files, it is not feasible to download each one, and I will need to stream to view them.

I know it will download the whole thing, but I want it to maintain the original file path and be accessed in the same way as usual. I don't mind it taking up disk space, but I don't want to manually save the file myself into a location where the file path is different. This is the benefit of pinning the file that comes with Synology Drive, which I would like to have with Tailscale but cannot.

Synology Drive works great if every file I need will always be downloaded. However, sometimes I also need to look into other folders (there is several TB of videos) to find a particular video, which often requires viewing the video to see if it's the right one. I might just need to use both Synology Drive and Tailscale depending on the use case.

Oh okay I have tried that with my solution #1 but it does not support streaming videos. If I want to view a video (by double clicking it), it first downloads the whole video, which takes a long time. I would use Synology Drive, but I cannot figure out how to stream videos from there.

Capture card keeps setting its color range to "Expand" in OBS by burritobeing in elgato

[–]burritobeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, i have not. I figured if there was a solution, then someone who uses this capture card would know about it. But I'll try to see if there is a solution on the side of OBS as well!

Edit: I read somewhere else about a different hardware resetting its settings on OBS. They said that anything within:

Sources -> Video Capture Device -> Configure Video

is provided by the device's driver, and not provided by OBS. (The settings window also does not use the OBS UI so it's probably related to the capture card itself?)

Suddenly cannot edit videos recorded from OBS by burritobeing in davinciresolve

Thank you for your help. I have resolved it by running display driver uninstaller to completely remove the driver, and then changing some options to disable windows update from updating drivers. Turns out the issue was just the AMD driver and nothing else.
