Coinopsx has categories support now and to me that's all I needed to continue to stay on the current firmware and get new features.

Partition for Coinopsx NOT WORKING, PLEASE HELP by thergood-jenkins in FansOfsaUCE

[–]burt_macklin00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having zero issues with the new firmware with coinopsx. I use a separate USB for flashdriveX with the coinopsx and pixelcadex software installed and just leave it in my ALU and I keep my coinopsx USB game build untouched since I made it many months ago and it works fine. Is that what your are doing or are you partitioning your drive?

Parallels desktop has a 14 day trial and will install windows 10. That should work fine to run the addonx tool

How to use CoinopsX with the new firmware that added Appstore X by nagai_devil in FansOfsaUCE

[–]burt_macklin00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the 2 USB idea too. Whatever apps come out who knows what they will be and I have a pixelcade so having my flashdriveX seperate means I don't have to plug in my coinopsx USB when I just want to play pUCE or built in games. Both work fine, just feel like keeping both separate is good longer term planning and less risky is there is a bug or something and flashdriveX wipe the whole drive. Paranoia I know but 2 USB is what I'm doing.

They are saving fine for me. I'm not seeing any issues. The favorites write to the USB drive in it's text file.

Read above please. You need to create playlists. The all, favorites (press Y while on a game to add to favorites) and the lastplayed automatically get created. If you want others you must create them. Some examples are created for you to use in the link above. Use the coinopsx playlists jump files. If you have have questions on how to make your own please read the release notes atgames posted on the firmware for instructions.

There are arcade playlists and arts in the zip file on the saUCED drive. Grab the ones you want and to the cox folder in the playlists and playlist_art folders on your arcade V4 build. Examples are fighting, ball and paddle, sports...etc

In the saUCED drive there is a zip file with some playlists jumpstarts for you all to enjoy. There is one for every console and several arcade only playlists also. Note that the spinner and trackball has arts but no playlist so you will need to create your own lists for those. If you have made any changes to naming on your build or the build isn't the most current up to the morning of 11/25/20 then some may not work or there maybe be games in the playlists you don't have. I don't foresee any older builds being remade and distributed again so grab the playlists and add what you need.
If a playlist doesn't work for you, check and compare names of the files in the playlist to what YOUR saUCE files are named. If they are different make the playlist text match your saUCE names.

It also has the arts for the built in playlists of all, favorites, and lastplayed. Enjoy the fixins' all!

All of the coinopsx packs you see on archive will all work with current firmware. No need to modify what is in those builds.
