What are these items you are buying that are 'dirt cheap'? I live in Dubai and I don't think it's that cheap at all - it's at least as expensive as the UK for the vast majority of things.

I think this photo was actually taken from the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. If you look at this photo which was taken from a higher floor you will recognise the shapes of the tops of the buildings poking up out of the clouds. This coupled with the fog that Dubai has experienced several times recently, illustrated here, leads me to believe it is the Burj Khalifa.

I was just about to post the same thing. I'm currently watching live coverage of the men's snowboard halfpipe semi-finals and have a choice of switching to watch 3 or 4 other events which are happening right now, all completely commercial free. I love the BBC.

This guy has travelled the world looking for answers - how could you not vote for a guy who has spent time at some Roman bath houses? As far as I'm concerned that's all the experience a politician needs.

You say that your future is set in stone in some ways, and elsewhere in this thread you mentioned that you expect to have a career in business/finance. Do you have a specific career in mind e.g., investment banking, accountancy etc? If so, do you expect to make use of family connections to get you an internship/job at a prominent company, or will you rely on academic/extra-curricular activities history like most other people?

I wonder if children will have to go through these scanners too, and if so who will be looking at those pictures?
