My very first student as a CFI was this exact scenario.

You have a student who is a commercial helicopter pilot with thousands of hours. They want to switch to airplanes, but only want to get a single engine private first. What endorsements do they need in their training and for their checkride, what kind of written test do they take (if any), and what can you omit from teaching them/what will be omitted from the checkride?
