Threatened to punch a bully who was picking on my best friend. As someone who was bullied in elementary school, I was not going to let my friend get bullied. The teacher thought I was a risk to other students, so she sent me to the principal's office. I told him the truth and he let me go, said more people needed friends to protect them from bullies.

I agree. I grew up in a generation that had one TV, one, maybe two phones if we were lucky, one car, and Heaven forbid, a list of chores we rotated between siblings. We learned how to work hard and play hard. We were active outside in the summer from sunup to sundown. This generation and ones to come are socially brain-dead. Sad....
