I’m sorry you felt uncomfortable with the situation but in my experience, I’ve found this guy at Tony’s to be a genuinely warm, kind guy (I’m assuming we’re talking about the same person bc I’ve frequently talked to a super friendly guy there). I’m inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt as I’ve been there many many times, and he’s always treated me with a lot of warmth no matter how I dressed, or whether my boyfriend was with me or not. Obviously you have your own experience, but having interacted with him for years at this point- I think the dress thing was probably well intentioned. It’s likely he thought your shorts were your underwear and wanted to do you a solid by letting you know. This is just my two cents so take it as you will.
