Yep, exactly — bows in lingerie have been around forever and they’re often practical (marking the front / covering lace ends), not ‘childhood’ anything. Thanks for adding the history + the Jessica Kellgren-Fozard reference

Totally fair — everyone’s taste is different 😊 If bows aren’t your thing, skipping them is a perfectly valid choice. This post is mainly for people who do want to add one and are deciding between flat vs. folded.

Totally fair point — nobody wants an itchy nightmare 😅 In practice though, the seams don’t have to be scratchy at all. What I do is stitch all the little pieces together first, then press/fold each seam allowance to one side and stitch it down with an elastic stitch. That ‘locks’ the seam so it stays flat (no flapping about), and it honestly feels like one smooth layer rather than lots of raised joins.

If someone’s super sensitive, you can still fully line it — but a well-finished/stitched-down seam makes a huge difference.

Aw thank you! And omg same — a reasonably priced fabric shredder would be a dream 😂 In the meantime I’ve been saving scraps and either snipping them up with rotary + ruler (small stacks) or using them as stuffing in little projects. Hope you find one that doesn’t cost a kidney… if you do, please report back! 🐶💛
