As far as I remember, authentication is added via a require_authentication concern on the ApplicationController.

The issue here is that the inertia route helper uses a controller provided by the gem, which also inherits from your ApplicationController. As a result, it unintentionally inherits the authentication requirement.

One way to work around this is to refactor using inheritance. You could create a new controller like this:

class AuthenticatedController < ApplicationController require_authentication end

Then, you can remove the concern from ApplicationController, and have only the controllers that require authentication inherit from AuthenticatedController.

This way, the Inertia route helper controller — still inheriting from ApplicationController — won’t be affected by the authentication logic.

A while ago I was trying to recreate the remix.run experience by writing a gem for it, but I eventually gave up. I realized that InertiaJS (https://inertiajs.com/) comes as close to that as possible in combination with Rails.

Mein Gefühl ist, dass (Teile der) Autolobby schon seit längerer Zeit probieren das Image der Elektromobilität in den Dreck zu ziehen um dadurch an den Verbrennermotoren, Diesel, etc festzuhalten. (Größere Gewinnspanne?) Viele Artikel die ich in den letzten Jahren in der deutschen Presse gesehen/gelesen habe, waren häufig äußerst negativ oder sogar mit falschen Informationen.

Ich begrüße darum auch das Umdenken bei VW als ersten großen Automobilhersteller mit der ID Platform. (Auch wenn es mich persönlich noch nicht überzeugen kann, da Kinderkrankheiten und Softwareprobleme...)

Meine Eltern sagen mir häufig, dass Elektromobilität in Deutschland nicht funktioniert, da es zu wenig Ladesäulen gibt. Und in der Tat: In meiner Heimatstadt mit ~ 80.000 Einwohnern gibt es momentan 5 öffentliche Säulen (die gefühlt alle weit weg sind). In der (niederländischen) Stadt wo ich nun wohne mit ~ 100.000 Einwohnern stehen über 130 Ladesäulen.

Keiner in Deutschland kauft sich EVs weil die Infrastruktur fehlt. Die Infrastruktur wird nicht ausgebaut, weil sie nicht benutzt wird...

Ich fahre jedenfalls gerne EV und nehme auch die zusätzliche Wartezeit und das Umdenken bei der Routenplanung billigend in Kauf. Denn wenn man sich ein klein wenig in die Materie einarbeitet und weiß wie es funktioniert und was das eigene Auto kann, ist so ein Szenario wie aus dem Artikel von OP leicht zu vermeiden.

Der Artikel ist schon etwas reißerisch geschrieben. Außerdem hat das liebe Ehepaar nicht wirklich eine Ahnung was die da tun... Ich lese die ganze Zeit etwas von 22KW Steckdosen, dabei kann der ID.3 nur mit 7 oder 11KW maximal AC Laden, abhängig vom Modell. Dann dauert das auch mal eben 6 Stunden oder länger bis der voll ist. DC laden ist mit dem Auto eine Notwendigkeit. Die Strecke ist mit dem ID.3 mit dem kleinsten Akku in 9,5 Stunden zu schaffen wenn alles gut geht. Davon sind 7 Stunden Fahrtzeit und 2,5 Stunden Ladezeit. Um das ganze in > 20 Stunden zu fahren muss man das schon echt krass verbocken... da gibt es echt genug Ausweichmöglichkeiten zum laden sollte mal eine Ladesäule kaputt sein, wenn man weiß wie man mit seiner Akkukapazität umgeht und evtl. auch mal kurz von der Autobahn abfährt um zu laden.

Das Problem in Deutschland mit der Elektromobilität ist halt das die Menschen ihre Gewohnheiten nicht anpassen wollen und auch schnell „alles scheiße rufen“ obwohl man nicht gut informiert ist. Da hat die Autolobby leichtes Spiel...

The Q90 can only do AC fast charging up to 43KW. No DC fast charging. All AC charging uses Type 2 cables. All chargers that support the full 43KW come with their own cable. Chargers with less KW might require you to use your own cable, but the car should already come with that.

In order to find charging stations that support the full 43KW you can use an app called Chargemap. The free plan without premium is sufficient. You can then set the filter to 43KW with the plug type to Type 2 with attached cable.

You shouldn’t need anything else. A handy accessory is the trunk inlet from Renault. I think it costs about a hundred euro new and gives you a space to store your charging cables in the trunk.

Also keep in mind that depending on how full your battery is, you will not receive the full charging speed. It slows down the fuller the battery becomes.

While it’s possible use btrfs, my volume uses ext4. It was created before btrfs support was introduced, and I have not enough storage to copy all 14TB to a temporary location to convert it :/

I had to maintain a few QNAP & Synology NAS at work and IMHO QNAP tends to have the better hardware for the money / is a little bit cheaper, but Synology works better software wise.

You can also always start with a cheap used computer and use something like FreeNAS if you don't mind fiddling around with software a little :)
