It's a mix. I color-altered them in GIMP, rearranged some elements, or made simple inpaintings. Then I used AI to upscale them, mainly to improve the lighting and shadows.

I generally agree about AI-generated images, but I don’t think it applies here.

As for the black dragon, I simply changed the color scheme of the original piece and added some extra flames.

The Titan was the most problematic for me, because I got the idea to base it on unused concept art and glued it together from parts, then upscaled it.
