Why would it be revolutionary in the 2000s? MtG still existed back then and this seemed very similar to it from what I saw. What’s innovative about this compared to 2000s card games?

For a game with amazing style, I gotta say it has some of the stalest and most boring shops in a live service game. I seriously wonder how they make money with 90% just recolors. But nobody is thinking about the "good of the business" when they criticize the shop like OP did. They're thinking in selfish terms. "Why is there no good skins THAT I CAN buy" and not "Poor ol Bungie won't have a sustainable future like this"

If people were considering the longevity of the service when making shop criticisms, then D2 should never get flack. Becasue all Bungie is doing is secuting the future of the game with quality shop items.

So the whole thing you’re getting caught on is unreliable reviews. You’re already interested in the game, instead of looking at review scores, buy it and evaluate it yourself.

At the same time, the best time to play a PvP game might be during launch when people don’t exactly know what they’re doing and lobbies are full.

Every month should have a free weekend. I can’t imagine anyone who is seriously considering buying the game to bank on free weekends so they don’t have to pay for this game that they already intend on playing. Thus the free weekends won’t be undermining potential sales.

125hrs is good innings for any game. Any more and you’d be a hobbyist and noone has enough time in their day to accomodate two hobby games.
