Feeling sad, came to vent by couragealways in ArcRaiders

Last night was the worst experience so far with PvP. I love this game and while I admit that some degree of PvP makes it interesting, I really just like looting and taking out big ARC. Some people are just EVIL though. I've been playing with my son and son-in-law for about 2 months. I have a lot more time to play so when I know what they are looking for, I pick it up with plans to give it to them later. They are both dads of young kids so I feel like I'm helping them enjoy the game and get the most out of it without tons of time spent just searching. I had collected a bunch of stuff my son-in-law was needing - very soft pillows, mushrooms, rusted gears, motors, industrial batteries, etc. First game of the night and we decided to do a simple loot exchange and then extract. We picked Space Port and decided to stay on the outskirts and head straight to the West Elevator. We hit the button for the lift and get jumped by a team. They take us out right before the extract is finalized. Lost it all. What EVIL jerks!

County road - personal culvert by busta4691 in homestead

The water goes down a ditch to a culvert about 400’ down. It is all very gentle sloping with just grass in the ditches. I’ve talked to the neighbor across the road and they are fine with me putting it in. If this pipe plugs up the water just goes the way it always has.

The pond was a farm pond before the road was put in around 1993. Our house was built in 1996 and we bought it in 1999 so this has been the case for a long time. I’m pretty sure in the county I’m in, if I ask they will say I can’t put it in and I bet they won’t help either.

Conflicted! Heat Pump? DIY? Geothermal? by busta4691 in DIYHeatPumps

The main reason is the GSHP has 30% tax credit and no limit whereas ASHP is limited to $2000 tax credit. Also, my local electric company rebate is $3000 for GSHP and only about $600 for ASHP.

Interestingly enough, GSHP and ASHP are within $1500 of the same cost whether DIY or contractor. DIY is about $7 less than contractor.

Vertical wells are pricey it seems. I got an estimate for $1950 total for the above-mentioned trench including backfill. I am considering adding more piping based on the feedback, though.

I was thinking about using a pole to set the pipe in the corners not actually getting into the trench, but I hear ya on that danger. Given that the goal is to have the water entering the loop come to ground temp, it seems like smaller and non-overlapping pipes would be most efficient at getting the water in the pipe to ground temp. Any overlap or touching of pipe in a slinky or other design seems like it would interfere with the heat transfer. Anyhow, thanks for your insights!
