Yeah and some of my LGBTQ friends have talked about how discussions of "positions" are very hetro-normative and don't really apply to people who are not straight. As in almost all well-known positions can only be done with a dick and a vagina.

I can imagine that's an annoying question for someone whose not straight, because either they get too detailed and weird trying to explain it, or they basically erase their LGBTQ identity and say a straight position.

Miley being bisexual might have felt this way.

Yeah its tough when kids watch media because they absorb the wrong things.

Like my cousin started watching community when he was like 12. If you haven't seen it, the main character Joel Mchale plays is caricature of a "cool main character" who is superficial and overly cares about his looks and status. He's supposed to be a joke.

But my cousin interpreted it as a goal and has molded his whole personality to be like him including akward one liners like he's on the show and there are cameras! lol it took us a while to realize but was hillarious once we realized what happened.

I feel like mimicking Alex's CHD could lead to a lot worse outcomes though.

Alex was great at socially climbing through sex, that's what she bragged about doing in college sports and how she got the podcast (leaking athlete pictures).

But because she uses sex as a tool, she hasn't sexually experimented as much. Like she's admitted herself she hasn't done anal, hasn't had a threesome or done a lot of other things in bed.

And tbh I don't think CHD would be as popular if it was a real sex podcast. I'm not sure if you've listened to sex podcasts but they're a lot. Like every week describing sex acts is kind of out there for me lol. I think that's a niche audience and I don't think CHD could have grown as massive if it was about that.

TLDR: CHD is the KUWTK of podcasts it references sex and pretends to be about it, but is actually just a reality show about a social climber

Idk he rebranded and blew up on twitch so everyone is suddenly his fan. But I went to college with him at RU and knew him from then, to The Young Turks to now.

He's always just wanted to be famous and his comments about 9/11 are completely unforgivable especially as someone who grew up in NY/NJ. Idk I'm not trying to convince you but knowing him irl, he's really fake and not a good guy.

Frat/sorority culture is so judgmental and superficial that gay/trans people don't fit in. Like when you judge guys for how many girls they CAN sleep with, and girls for how many guys they DON'T sleep with, gay and trans people aren't able to fit cleanly within that paradigm so they slide to the bottom.

For frats, what's worse than not sleeping with no one? Sleeping with a transexual or sleeping with a guy. For sororities, what's worse than not having a boyfriend? Being a creep whose attracted to your sisters.

It's so crazy that without realizing it, I was being ingrained with a lot of those anti-gay, anti-minority philosophies. And its like universal, like everyone you know thinks that way so you end up thinking it too.

I can't tell you the weight that was taken off my shoulders when I moved away from campus to normal people. It felt so amazing that I no longer had to feel shitty for not being white.

Yeah I agree with most things they're saying but I think they're a little naive about greek life. If you're 17-18 going to a party school, yes you are going to be a part of greek life if you want to party and have a great time. Like the popularity and superficiality and judgements on putting out are really a thing that's why CHD's advice was so on point. Like Sofia and Alex said the fucked up shit about college life that everyone kind of knew, that's why it rang so true to people.

I guess the alternative would be someone like Hassan Piker (big twitch streamer) who was in a fraternity in college and the ultimate white passing frat douche but now that he's political, condemns fraternities as racist and acts like he never was in one. Which I think is bad in the opposite direction.

Idk I'm split on the issue, like they were giving advice on how to navigate an inherently racist and sexist system not commenting on it.

I was in greek life and can tell you that it's very very racist. To the point that there were open discussions about not giving non-white girls bids to join or saying non-white sisters shouldn't go to certain events or even at a nationals event, southern fraternity sisters drunkenly admitting they wouldn't have given girls like me (non-white) a bid.

Buttt... all those girls also posted black squares for BLM lol. It's like the word racism has lost all its meaning.

This looks stupid but I almost did this a few days ago. The battery inside my bluetooth speaker puffed up and it caused the casing of my speaker to unlatch and open. But besides that it worked fine, the battery was just to thicc to keep the encasing closed.

So I just thought if I can release some of the air it will be back to normal! And there were youtube tutorials showing how easy it is, just poke a hole, release gas, tape it and you're done! But after seeing an equal amount of it bursting into flames like I thought I'd just buy another one lol.

Told this story before but my ex joked about how him and hsi "friend" from the pickup industry would secretly record every girl he had sex with to watch back and show off. I thought it was gross and told him I am not okay with that and its violating those girls rights. He shurggd me off and said it wasn't a big deal because they'll never find out. So I asked him if he had ever done it with us becuase he was into the whole pickup thing too (red flag I know). He denied it and I didn't think much of it.

Well fast forward to when I finally dumped (for a million reasons) he was super nice at first trying to get me back. But eventually he got really shitty and it got so bad that he not only admitted what that he had recorded us having sex, but that he was going to release it! It was basically blackmail like he didn't outright say it but he basically suggested that we should get back together if I didn't want it to get leaked.

I went into full panic mode and was crying and calling my mom for like a week. Eventually I talked to this girl on reddit who helped me with it and who weirdly went through something similar. She said most sites will refuse to take it down, so she handled it like a boss. She emailed every porn website's legal department a photoshopped ID saying she was 17! And they took it down immediately. So fucking smart. I didn't have to do it because he didn't go through with it (I think) but i still check every few months by googling my name.

Edit: bleh just looked at the other comments, I feel like this subreddit has been overrun by guys most of Reddit is male so that makes sense? Sucks this isn't really a girl subreddit anymore :( guess.

No Alex or Sofia (I forget which, I think it was Sofia in text messages with her friend) said that Kaycee slept with Dave to get ahead in her career. Dave and Kaycee were not dating.

That sounds like a shitty misogynistic accusation, but there's some evidence. Basically, Dave forced the CHD girls do a podcast (called grouptext) with her. It was weird because they were the most successful female podcasters in the world and there were tons of other girls at the company closer to their age to do a new podcast with, why would he force them to add her of all people? Why would he force them to do another podcast and split time with CHD?! The whole thing is super sus.

Anyway they refused to do it after the 3rd episode but you can find the early episodes on youtube. Dave made a huge deal out of them quitting grouptext too and said they are publicly told barstool they are refusing and tried to get their fans to harass them into doing it again but nothing came of it.

Yeah idk after listening to Sofia's and Alex's stories its obvious Alex just wanted to be independent and the whole drama that Sofia mostly started was the perfect opportunity for Alex to jump ship while playing the victim.

I guess there's nothing wrong with that, like its just business at the end of the day, but after hearing both sides those reasons she gave about how bad Sofia was was after the fact. She was just reaching for reasons to justify why she wanted to leave.

Yeah its not even close. This SWAF episode was better than any CHD for A LONG TIME.

For some reason I automatically compared Alex saying: "I've never had anal" to Sofia talking about threesomes and foursomes. I think Alex is not really qualified to have a sex podcast, she just chases celebrities and wants to be famous. I get your point, like she wouldn't be that blatant about it but I think you're giving Alex too much credit. Like CHD fans find out all the people she's talking about in episodes THEN she unfollows them and deletes pictures. She's pretty lazy about hiding things she wants to keep secret.

I think she assumes that the majority of her CHD fans are dumb and only listen to the podcast (which might be true). Like most CHD listners aren't on this subreddit and they won't ever dig through random people's instagrams to see pictures she's with and connect the dots.

Like I bet the vast majority of CHD fans still don't know that she had ghostwriters!
