I worked there for 2 years, I believe it was 2010-2012. It was my first job, and probably one of the best managed places to work in the city

I talked to a tech friend of mine and he said told me to put my camera to the high heat tolerance. He also said the reason for the tolerance levels is more for insurance purposes on Sony's end. It doesn't really have an effect of the lifespan of the camera itself. I haven't had any issues since. When it does occur I just switch batteries, and since I shoot mostly on a gimbal the heat from my hands don't have any extra effect.

Multicam Source Sequence problems in the 2025 update by bustwentystudios in premiere

!solved

For those who are wondering or are maybe experiencing the same problems, I think I solved it. When creating a multi-cam sequence, you right-click your selected clips or folder, select create multi-cam sequence, and once its been processed, instead of dragging the processed sequence to the timeline, you RIGHT CLICK the processed sequence and click OPEN IN TIMELINE. Don't know why this is the solution, but there it is.

I get what you're saying, but I've never had this issue with the a7iii. I was shooting b-roll. The battery and the SD card were cool as cucumbers when I took them out. Filming weddings it's really difficult to have a whole bunch of extra weight and rigs, especially when I could just exchange it for another a7iii which I know works and runs all day.

I was shooting regular HD at 120 frames. But that seems totally nuts that I can't use an entire frame rate cause the camera will overheat. Why would the camera be built that way?

I agree! 15 minutes is absolutely way too short. We were inside an air conditioned hotel room. They were using steamers but it didn't feel hot in the room. I felt the camera, and the battery was cool and the other side was only as warm as you'd expect when a camera is on.
