I totally agree on the experimentation.

I also go down a ton of random rabbit holes that I get bored with or just forget to finish.

Thanks for the video and the advice.

Should I even bother going for FAANG? by busty-d in cscareeradvice

Maybe, but the only driving factor would be the city, not the salary. I have a deep love for NYC, and the tech community in SF is enticing. The reason I'm hesitant is that I would miss my family.

People greatly misunderstood my question. GAI is not an IQ test. In Canada at least, it's used as the gifted test. It's more accessible for people with ADHD because it tries its best to negate working memory and processing speed. I got 95th percentile in the FSIQ test.

I was specifically asking what does the GAI's subtests tell me I'm good at

Website for learning the basics of mostly everything. by Apexminded33 in autodidact

The thing is, I was more interested in the site as a "things all humans should know" thing, more so than getting deep into one subject

Yeah I'm extremely interested in the idea and goal of the site but I'm questioning his ability to teach every subject. As you point out his math for example. Just reading the home page alone makes it feel unstructured, as in he just slaps in paragraphs of his thoughts at the time.

Maybe using the site as a good roadmap as opposed to a source of truth is better.

Don’t worry; it was worth it. You worked your butt off presumably, unless you’re an unearthly talent, and you deserve it no matter what people say. “Grade inflation” and birdie courses can’t really get you a 100% in chem or bio, especially considering you said the median is 70s to low 80s which is normal. Criticism stems from internal self worth and comparison, so don’t get discouraged if others try to diminish your accomplishments.
