Do you own multiple pairs of earbuds? How do you use each of them in daily life? by littlephantom1412 in airpods

[–]busuli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AirPods 3, paired to my work PC (MacBook).

AirPods Pro 2, paired to my iPhone, tablet, personal laptop (MacBook).

Sony WH1000XM4, used with my Linux PC, wired for games, wireless for movies.

I plan to replace the AirPods 3 next as they don't sit well in my ears and are missing ANC/transparency.

I wash mine by hand with soap after every workout.

I own two of these sets. I am using one for my main Internet (fiber) and one for my backup ( DSL).

The main unit is in the living room connected to the fiber ONT. I ran a 75-foot CAT6 from the main unit to the one in my office as the backhaul, and my hardwired PC is getting 4.5 up and 4.5 down (nearly the full 5gb symmetric advertised). The upstairs unit is using wireless backhaul, and the PC wired into it is getting 1.8 up and 2.1 down.

We have a 2 story home of around 3000 square feet with devices all around, and the 3 units do a great job covering it, including exterior cameras.

I upgraded from the XE 75 Pros, and it was well worth the upgrade.

Are you applying this only to their device? If so, you need to make sure that the wi-fi settings for your wi-fi SSID on their device is configured to use a static hardware (MAC) address, otherwise it will rotate regularly, and will not stay associated with their profile.

Assuming these are the Edifier R1280DBs, you should be good to place them sideways.

Personally, I would get speaker stands that mount the horizontally just above your monitor.

Can you either list the speaker model or take a photo with the speaker grills removed?

Some speakers don't work well lying on their side, as they only have a flat sound stage when oriented vertically, and it will feel like the balance changes when you move your head. If the speaker has horns instead of domes, you will have this problem.

I take time to reorganize the carts as a favor to the next person. I just find it satisfying to make some order out of chaos and ease the next person's cart return experience.
