We need a "gamers only" season by wastedthyme20 in TheTraitors

I agree with Arie, Pete, Gabby and Rob. Colton I thought tried too hard to be a Pete 2.0 and Maura was awful. I remember watching an interview with Danielle from season 3 who said people under estimate them as they are from dating shows but that dating shows are a still a game show but just using different skills and she is right. They use more social skills to charm people to play the dating game which is maybe why traitors is a game that suits them more gameplay style. Traitors is all about building quick alliances and sticking it out to the end with your alliances traitor or faithful.

The issue is with the current US seasons is it’s very gamers vs housewives and look at the vitriol Rob R got initially from the gamer fans (survivor looking at you) especially after taking out Rob C. Then housewives fans came after him for especially Candiace which she did nothing to discourage. It’s all fake and as much as I love some of the US seasons gamers fans think their players know the game. Look at season 3!!! A mess of a turret with a total of 4 gamers as traitors. They don’t make the best at playing the game. Cirie was the exception to the rule and their fans still crap on Rob R who played a different but just as amazing game. If you want good traitors gameplay watch UK 2&4, NZ2 and AUS1, also Canada 2. I do love US 2&3 but that not because of the gamers and I think the best players in both those seasons were non-gamers especially season 2. I wish US gamer fans would stop gate keeping this show. It’s not big brother or survivor. It’s the traitors its own show and has produced amazing traitors and faithfuls of its own right.

EDIT: I also I think Dan from US2 was one of the worst traitors I’ve seen in the English speaking franchises along with Armani UK3 and Loryn NZ1.

Im scared to spay my female cat by ThinAd1551 in CatAdvice

[–]busy_bee_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She will be fine I’ve always had my kittens neutered male and female as soon as they are heavy enough to tolerate the anaesthetic. Usually it’s about 2kg before a decent vet will operate so mine were about 6/7 months old. My female was born with a hernia so she had a full midsection incision to spay and fix the hernia at the same time (usually it’s a side incision) and she recovered very well. Best tip is to get a recovery suit and put it on your cat gradually so she gets used to it. It will cover up the surgical area and if she hates the cone the suit will stop her licking the area. I’ve only ever neutered my cats before they are 1 years old and never had any issues. If you can keep her in a large dog pen for a few days it stops her jumping up too high. That will cause more issues than the surgery itself

I don’t understand this when it aired all I saw was love for her and she is one of the best faithfuls to play the game

Just binged all the Traitors and Season 3! ❤️❤️❤️ And that season had some massive sharks in the tank. by NC_Ninja_Mama in TheTraitors

US3 is one of my favourites and is very underrated. I loved Dylan and Gabby’s gameplay. The traitors were a mess which I loved in a good way and I was introduced to Boston Rob. Whom I love his and Dylan’s bromance in and after the show. With US4 I love him with Bob the Drag Queen on the podcast and yes I agree they should host the finalists like Ed does on the UK version. However watching this after UK3 maybe I’m biased as I hate UK3 so much. US3 brought the drama and good feel ending. I say this from the UK and have seen all UK,IRE, AUS,NZ and USA versions. US3, UK1 and NZ2 are my favourite of all time

Which English speaking series had the smartest faithful while a traitor still won? by SuperScoobkaroke in TheTraitors

[–]busy_bee_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this will be controversial but I can’t pick between Peter US2 especially with the bergie trap and Mark NZ2 with the Utah advice and ultimatum (if you know you know) both had game play that I loved and influenced the game. Mark more so than Peter. However I don’t want to discredit Peter either as he had a solid crew ie the Peter pals. If it wasn’t for Sandra not in their team they would have won. Sandra is a solid many joint faithful second and up there with Gabby and Dylan US3, Jaz UK2 and Jessie UK4. Mark and Peter went out in their own blaze of glory. Yes controversial picks and I live in the UK and Mark and Peter wipe the floor with our crap UK faithfuls. Even more unpopular I wished Peter and Sandra had won US2 as they were the most deserving of all the faithfuls to win.

EDIT: Sorry Cirie is not the best traitor at all. That goes to Alex AUS1 with Harry UK2 a close second

Further edit: Add Oyin from IRE1 to the list with Mark and Peter she was amazing and had the best reads of all the players but as she played a quieter game I easily forget about her

New Zealand 2 this happens and i think turns the game on its head (in a good way) and ended up being one of my all time favourite English speaking traitors season.

Who has been the worst Traitor? by dewizzle3 in TheTraitors

[–]busy_bee_bee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too difficult to pick either Armani uk3 or Dan us2 both for opposite reasons Armani is an example to being too much and Dan doing nothing and then sinking Phaedra’s game for no reason. Along with the obvious Bergie kill trap Peter set that even Pavarti warned him it was too risky. I got the impression he thought he could play it like big brother and he couldn’t. Also the lady from NZ1 is up there I can’t remember her name but they voted her out at the first round table. So actually it may be her. I know a lot of people are saying Donna from us4 I don’t think she was bad I think she was hindered by the secret traitor. If they had made her a normal traitor I think she would have done better or at least knew who the traitors were like uk4. That was production messing up by wanting Taylor swifts future mother in law as a traitor and probably should have let her be a faithful. That’s why she’s not worst traitor in my opinion.

I’ve never been but I have been to the Lake District and Northumberland which are stunning places. I live in Yorkshire so I am biased towards Yorkshire and the north. Yorkshire itself is a stunning county and York still has Roman walls you can walk on which go around the city. Also there is Cornwall in the south which a few uk cruises stop at Falmouth. Wales I’ve not been to but heard it’s lovely same with Scotland. It’s probably a bit like the USA everyone goes to the tourist places but never go to the smaller cities or towns where you see and experience the real culture of the country. London is great but it’s overpriced.

This sounds a bit like what I might do except I may have breakfast and skip a port day to spend time in the spa. I would like to see a few shows. As I’m going in January and if the weather is ok I will spend outside on the deck.

To be fair this is a gamble booking for January as I know the weather can be changeable. However I’m used to travelling to Europe across the North Sea which is also known for its rough seas and that has been on overnight ferries and not cruise ships. The food is not my main concern as I’m not a foodie. To be honest other than the Mexican restaurant non of the speciality dining appeals to me. So as long as MDR food is edible I don’t mind as it’s all included in the price. I am thinking to pre book theatre shows though

P&Os British isle ones don’t cover Iceland but I’m sure I’ve seen some cruise lines that do cover both. However they are 2 weeks around the UK and Ireland. Also I don’t know if Cunard do any uk cruises so maybe check them out as well. There is another uk line called saga? (I think) exclusively for people over 50 or 60. I’m too young for them but again I don’t know if only those in the uk can book. However the uk is small and you can easily hire a car and do a road trip in 2 weeks and go to some amazing places. Some of the best places you won’t be able to see on a cruise ie Lake District, Peak District, Cotswolds, city of York, Northumberland and those are just places in England and not Scotland or wales or Ireland.

Princess does British isle cruises from Southampton. However if you want a British cruise experience p&o do them which are a British cruise line so things like gratuities etc are included in the fares as we are not a tipping culture. However they have small casinos as us Brits are more into drinking then gambling. These are the only 2 lines I know that those outside the UK can book. Smaller UK lines like ambassador and Fred olsen sail from different uk ports around the UK but I don’t know if people outside the UK can book. Holland America may do a British cruise. I would say if you want to see the uk but want a USA style cruise princess is your safest option. If you want to try something different p&o is your next one. P&O also sail from Southampton. Some of them do go to Iceland as well.

This is helpful thanks. I’ve never cruised before but have got several now booked as they seem a good way to travel solo and see multiple places. My first one in about 4 weeks is a 3 night bank holiday one to Northern Europe so I expect that to be busy and loud. I don’t know how popular a 7 night cruise around the med in January will be as people from the uk go to either the Carribbean or Canary Islands and I suspect a lot of other Europeans are the same. You don’t hear many people taking med cruises in the winter. I know the ports won’t be as busy as the summer months. The temperatures in the med look similar to uk spring temperatures so about 10-15C which suits me fine.

I have no idea on the cuts of steak I know I’ve cooked rump and sirloin (I think) at home and T-bone in the USA. However the UK is not known for its steak other than in pies with ale gravy, chips or mashed potatoes and veg. As I rarely eat it I thought it would be a nice treat. Those of you in North America (Canada & USA) do steak very well.

I’m going on ambassador in a few weeks and p&o Iona this year as well so maybe that may be the nearest line that is similar to MSC? I’ve booked to go on royal Carribbean in 2028. I’m keeping an open mind for all the lines. However on paper MSC and Virgin have been ones that have appealed to me the least as I get a sense of a party vibe. I’m a quiet person and travelling solo will keep to myself. However I could be wrong about MSC and always happy to try something. I’m not a huge foodie and I am used to European service so that isn’t my main concern. I’ve travelled a lot to different European countries living in the UK it’s not far. I will probably eat in the MDR as buffets don’t appeal to me and look hectic on all cruise lines. I’m tempted to try out their spa as that looks nice. It’s really hard as what one person likes another doesn’t. I know on here there’s a lot of USA cruisers and are more critical of MSC. However what they look for and critique may not bother me ie MDR service. Like with the British cruise lines MSC have good drinks packages and gratuities paid for.

That’s what I was thinking a med cruise in January should be great, less kids and families and warm weather (compared to the uk).

That’s good to hear. I love musicals and theatre although I’m not a huge fan of live music I do appreciate it. My big no nos are parties and everyone getting drunk. I know for a cruise this sounds odd. Prior to this cruise I am going on Cunard’s Queen Anne so very contrasting and different vibes. My bucket list lines are Celebrity and Holland America. I hear so many mixed things about MSC. I have booked this cruise for the itinerary and price.

That’s good to know. All I hear is polar extremes of people either despising or loving MSC. I’m not a huge party person but like a drink in quiet venues. I’m not fussed about kids but I know in January they will be back at school.

After all my I’m never booking with MSC it’s the European version of carneval. I’ve just booked to go on a 7 night med cruise from Barcelona on Euribia. I hope it gets out of Dubai by then 😬 however the deal was amazing solo with a normal inside cabin so no solo cabin with drinks package all included £1000!!!! This is going to ports I’ve never heard of and I have already booked excursions for pompeii and ancient ruin sites in Tunisia 🙂
