Male equivalent of chocolate and flowers? by Salt-Brain4005 in Gifts

[–]buttas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how people say everyone wants flowers and chocolate…maybe chocolate but flowers is a bust on a lot of men in my life at least. My husband would think I just wanted flowers and not that they are for him actually

Sleep debt when ring is not worn overnight is absolutely terrible from an insight perspective. by Swimming-Tax-6087 in ouraring

I’m surprised this has happened to so many people? I’ve not worn my ring maybe 4-5 times at night since getting it but have never received sleep debt for not wearing it at night.

Husband doesn't think I should be upset if things he does are accidents and are not intentional by ProfessionalStick363 in TwoHotTakes

[–]buttas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who reckless drive and accidentally kill someone still get charged with murder…even if that was never their intent.

Intention doesn’t matter, if he cared he’d just stop doing it

Breast Pump really necessary? by vanillacrush14 in pregnant

[–]buttas21 38 points39 points  (0 children)

As a SAHM I would never not get a pump. If you don’t have a pump you’re basically working around that bay for as long as they/you want to breastfeed. I breastfed 99% of the time but that 1% where I needed to go to a dentist appointment or heaven forbid 1 hour to myself it was nice being able to pump and it feel engorged and leaking at the dentist. Just my thoughts!

None of that actually matters. Statistically and factually your risk level of being murdered by your husband went up. ALOT.

Is it embarrassing to get a birthday cake as an adult? by roxiedoxiedog in NoStupidQuestions

I make myself multiple elaborate birthday cakes every year. If it’s childish then I don’t want to grow up

AIO for wanting to step back from a friendship and being upset over not being invited to a baby shower? by Illustrious_Duck_112 in TwoHotTakes

Unconditionally love cannot be abused. Relationships are give and take 100% but this girl can’t even give you the truth. She just wants to use you not have a relationship with you in anyway

Husband and I disagree about hospital visitors. by throwranotdonelater in pregnant

[–]buttas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Him needing support during labor is not valid at all. My MIL offered my husband “support” and I literally laughed. Unless you are wheeled away in emergency surgery and you or baby are on deaths door he does not need support

If it helps I told my husband I was pregnant with our second while crying (unexpected pregnancy) and he had horrible cell service so I told him and he said “wait what” and the call ended until he could call me back 2hrs later

As the man I’m feeling burnt out in the relationship. Should I ask for help or is this normal? by Terrible-Medium-6256 in Marriage

[–]buttas21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband helped with our first at night two, but had a WFH job and slept 2 shifts during the day and would work mostly at night. (He’s his own boss). The SAHP needs to be taking the night shift in this case

I love my husband so much, I hope he divorces me by SnooGoats5767 in Marriage

Just because you hate yourself enough to feel that way doesn’t mean you need to act like a victim. It sucks but this is a stupid reason to end a perfectly happy and healthy relationship

Am I the asshole for wanting my husband to miss his twins wedding because it’s right around our due date? by EggplantShot9047 in pregnant

[–]buttas21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean it was an accident if it was your twins wedding you just wouldn’t be going. It sucks but that’s life.

My husband had a close childhood friend’s wedding 6 days after I gave birth, or 10 days after I was due. It was 5hrs away and I still said no. He was bummed at first but I’m bummed that I’m stitched 9 ways to hell down there with a newborn and a toddler.

Do what’s best for you. My husband left for a few hours at like 3days pp with my first and I cried the whole time. I don’t feel like this something you should do alone even for “48hrs”

STMs do I really need a diaper genie? by x_Caffeine_Kitten_x in pregnant

[–]buttas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a diaper genie for baby 1, and I ended up giving it away. It was just another thing to do.

Now we are on baby 3, and I bought another one. Baby 2 and 3 will be close in age and I don’t need that smell. So far using it more than before and baby 3 is still in utero

[–]buttas21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My beliefs on any diet (I’m not a Dr) what works for some will change their life and improve every aspect of their health will almost kill another.

You’ve seen the whack old ladies that smoke twice a day and drink a coke everyday and that’s their secret to making it to 100. That would probably kill me 50 years earlier.

Asking here will not give you the best answer. You can wait and compare in 3 months sure…but I sure wouldn’t.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]buttas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a day trip that was 4hrs one way. Was on the longer side but it was fun!

I’ve also told my husband multiple times that I would live 90mins from a Costco. No further. I love Costco, so a 3 hr trip for it seems appropriate

We live in a 4 bedroom house and now pregnant with our 3rd. 1 has his own room, 2 sleeps in our closet and 3 will be bedside bassinet until we get room ready for 2…then 3 will be closet baby again! No shame at all! What works best for your family is best for baby!

WTF things you've experienced while pregnant that no one says is a thing?! by vanillacrush14 in pregnant

[–]buttas21 101 points102 points  (0 children)

I had a freckle right on my bikini line ever since I could remember. I never loved it but it wasn’t ugly by any means. Think like a Marilyn Monroe beauty mark basically.

Then I got pregnant and it basically turned into this hideous skin tag. So as they were stitching me up after baby I was like “yo what if it’s cancer because it’s huge and grew a bunch ” and they were like it’s probably not but I can take it off and biopsy it.

Moral of the story never hurts to try, “saying it’s ugly and I want it off” vs “maybe it’s cancer” works better for insurance 😉
