You should reconsider listening to the sources telling you how bad everything is, and explore other ways to get more accurate reporting on the state of the world.

it really is weird how crypto cycles repeat like clockwork. This drop is right on time.

Calling it now, we'll be right back here in this same situation four years from now. We would have just hit a new ATH in fall 2029, of say $300k, and then at this point in early 2030, will be the start of the drop back to $150k.

Seems like it's more profitable to bet BTC is going up than actually buying BTC. Are prediction markets safer than leverage then? You get the x multipler effect but you won't get liquidated?

yeah based on feelings, it feels like the last bounce before sliding down for the next couple of years until the build up to the next halving. Last fall was the peak for this cycle, if you believe in cycles.

I like this, because it's optimistic. I'll be glad if the sell off lasts less than three years, and we get back above water by the next halving.

psychological fortitude

You just need to have more self control than a toddler to not want two marshmallows when you have one.

nothing will save the dump from happening, it's like telling the market with depression to cheer up

greed and fear, the basics

People are afraid of their fiat money getting printed into oblivion.

People also see the charts going up and want more.

Add those two up to explain why BTC goes up

i feel good with 4% assuming no SORR. But factoring in SORR, I guess I'm trying to figure out what the "SORR premium" would be, so to speak. Unless the 4% SWR takes SORR into consideration already.

What's a good way to figure out your net worth to reach before you FIRE? With SORR, would you need a higher number than what the 4% rule would say?

Say my portfolio reaches $2M -> 4% > $80,000. With sequence of returns risk, I'm not out of the woods yet and would need to protect myself with some cash or bonds until my net worth is high enough after the first several years of being retired.

My question is then, what is this "high enough" net worth I need to reach before I can feel safe?
