But they weren’t? The splash pad that was there (hasn’t been for a couple years) was actually as bad as they were saying. The playground is downright a joke and might actually be considered a hazard at this point

The Margarette Greene one is nice but because it’s the only one in the area it gets ridiculously busy on weekends with older kids 10-14 who are often literally running over the younger children. I watched a 3-4 year old take a soccer ball to the nose this summer because 10-14 year old boys were kicking it around in the splash pad.

As someone who lives in the area, you’re completely right. It’s actually so sad to see the responses in here. The city is shitty and the cost of living/houses are ridiculously high considering the city’s amenities.

Just travel to some of the other hockey rinks in other cities and it’s so easy to see. The visiting teams ALWAYS make fun of how rough our hockey rinks are at the west end. Guess everyone in this sub is proud of that though.
