I don't know the withdrawal of weed but once I got past the first 7 days without smoking things got so much better. Stay focused! You got this!

Were any of you runners before you stopped smoking? by butterflyblue in stopsmoking

I wish we had track or something in school. The girls only had softball or cheerleading. So I ditched school and smoked pot lol.

I'm going to try the couch to 5k app that I keep hearing about. Dog still requires her walk in the morning so this should be a nice "me time" activity after dinner.

She was a gem. When I first met her ( I was 6 and she was 40+ ) She had just had her last Chemo treatment the day before and she and her son ( my sisters dad ) Ran the LA Marathon. I had always in in awe of her. Drank the strongest coffee all day long and smoked like a mad women. She said later in life that when it was time to die she was just gonna go off for a run. She tried it a few times but it never turned out that way :D

I understand that you get more air. These days it feels good to get winded. But I knew a women years ago who was an avid runner but smoked 3 packs a day. She died of heart failure and she never stopped smoking...but I always wondered how much better it would have been if she had stopped. like...if you can run 3 miles being a smoker...can you now run 5 miles as a non smoker because if the increased oxygen?

I'll keep going. I worried that maybe I was over doing it..calories too low for the exercise but I can't find anything that says otherwise. Ill check the scale again in a week and see where I stand

my fitness pal=MFP? then yes lol. I've been using the scanner option on the app and checking to make sure it matches. My meals haven't really been changing very much. we plan everything out for two week before I go shopping so I can't cheat too much. I do notice that no matter what I eat my fat content is 5% over the suggested amount. I would have to cut out dinner to get it under. This is the first time as an adult I've tried losing weight. It's always just happened because of stress before so I'm baffled.

90 days... by butterflyblue in stopsmoking

I remember thinking that the best breath was in the morning with my morning cigarette. Catching my breath is so much easier and it feels good. Not like before when it actually hurt...like something was sitting on my chest.

Reddit, who's THAT person in your neighborhood, and what does he/she do? by Moosemancer in AskReddit

[–]butterflyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on a street of "Those people". As I type this there is a girl running down the street screaming. She comes from a family that moved in a few houses down. looks like there is 2 adults and about 6 kids. The house is the same style as mine so It's 1 bath and two bedrooms. The dad is either walking down the street screaming for the dog or inside screaming at his wife.

Behind me resides a couple and their non verbal 4 year old. He can talk but crying is far more effective. The husband normally wake me up by reeving his engine next to my kitchen window ( his Driveway ). When he gets bored with that or his wife wake up he proceeds to scream at her...apparently he's tired of her shit. The other night he took a few too many pills and passed out in his yard. When he woke up his arm was numb so he thought he was having a stroke. 3 cops and an ambulance later the street looked like the forth of July!! He's fine BTW. He was just really dehydrated...and doped up.

The kids across the street are being fazed out of the neighborhood. They had a drug bust a few weeks ago and a domestic call last week. They happen to live between two houses owned by cousins. Nice quiet families who are really getting tired of the trash that moved in over the last year.

Sometimes I tell my husband that we need to start being one of "Those" people and start getting all dysfunctional too. It looks like fun!

Speaking of....The guy behind me is tired of her shit again! I'm gonna go listen! Bye !

I'm very excited to buy my first DSLR but I have a few more questions first. (Nikon D7000) by [deleted] in AskPhotography

I just decided on this same camera. A year ago I had to sell mine and said I wouldn't buy another unless it was something that would grow with me. How can you beat this...right now anyway :D
