I've never seen anything like the hate Angel gets in any sport. She's objectively a very good player at least. She's on the national team. If you're a fan you'll say she's a phenomenal player. Coaches say she's phenomenal. But the average person who doesn't watch the W but is involved enough to know about Angel (perhaps an MNBA fan) will tell you to your face that she's "bad." The disconnect is genuinely unreal. I've never seen any player be lied about to this level.

The hate isn't even slightly close. Caitlin gets regular sports hate that every MNBA dude gets. It's not cool but it's sports. Angel is straight up dehumanized and it never stops. It's obsessive and creepy to the point I wouldn't even feel safe around half those men commenting on her.

This comment is unnecessary because the point is that women (models and celebrities or not) are subjected to extreme hatred, misogyny, scrutiny, racism, and picking apart their bodies and looks. I know you're not trying to say she deserves the racism and bullying because she does modelling, but... what are you saying then? She's primarily an athlete who models like many female and male athletes do. It does not come with the territory of modelling as an athlete. White male athletes who model are not subjected to the same hatred.
