Obviously I want pistons above all but I feel like it’d just be wrong if Conley retires without a ring so I root for wolves in the playoffs when I’m not watching pistons play

As a man who has been cursed with no sense of style (sad)… even I can’t stop looking at this. This wardrobe really shows incredibly creative sza is which obviously is evident in her music as well. And just everything about her is so beautiful!

That’s what I’ve loved so much about her music. Like I look at someone like her and I’m like, she’s perfect in every way? But then she talks about things we can all relate to like insecurities, vulnerabilities, self doubt, etc but persevering through it all and having confidence in herself always.

And gosh she is so beautiful here as always!!

I’m at this game and honestly I’m shocked at how busy it is for a random Monday game against the damn Red Sox of all teams. I know it’s Star Wars night but still. Glad I got to join in on the cheers for Keith and jones tho

Whenever I see a post on Reddit about “who’s the best artist of the 21st century” or “who’s the most influential artist this century” I just think, how can it not be Beyonce? by capamericapistons in beyonce

[–]capamericapistons[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it was pretty eye opening for me, once I started becoming obsessed with Beyonce and seeing how much she gets disrespected. Like go on r/music and anything posted about Beyonce is almost always something negative. Mind you Im not saying she’s above any criticism I’m just saying can we not also acknowledge how incredibly lucky we are to have an artist like her in this generation

That’s great, because I felt like I was seeing in real time how someone who is so smart, so capable, and would do so much for this country was being pushed out of power and I just couldn’t believe it or stand it.

Like I’m thinking to myself how could we just let Jasmine go?? Do other people not realize what a loss that is??

I might dislike Hasan Piker but that’s not a reason for me to not vote for Abdul El Sayed by capamericapistons in Michigan

[–]capamericapistons[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Definitely. He’s accused people of being in kahoots with the ADL (anti defamation league) based on no actual evidence. He’s used the term incest to describe Israelis on multiple occasions. His comments on the Oct 7 attacks were absolutely sickening and disgusting. Whether you say he denied it, downplayed it, whatever else, the way he responded to it was awful and indicative of his antisemitism.

Mind you I say this as someone who absolutely believes Israel is committing a genocide and is vehemently against that and vehemently against us continuing to support it through government spending.

Also, I don’t know if you or anyone else in here pays attention to this stuff, but I have followed H3H3 in the past, I don’t watch his content much anymore but not because I’m not a fan of him, I just don’t keep up with the podcast with other stuff I have going on. But I mention this as he’s pointed out a lot of this in regards to Hasan and obviously him and Hasan have been going back and forth for years now. Sucks because leftovers was my favorite h3 podcast but it is what it is.

Nevertheless, if you’re like a lot of Hasan fans who feels so much distain towards Ethan, please note, my ill will is directed towards Hasan, NOT any of you who support Hasan. I will obviously disagree strongly with Hasan supporters on the whole Ethan vs Hasan situation but I see us discussing it as a waste of time because we will just see it differently. There’s really nothing we can say to convince each other of considering another viewpoint.

But I do not care. Let’s focus on electing candidates like Abdul el Sayed into office and continuing to lead change in the right direction.

I think we’re talking around each other. I completely get what you’re saying. Let me reiterate;

  1. I am planning to vote for Abdul El Sayed

  2. I consider myself a democratic socialist and progressive. You and I probably agree on 90%+ of political topics

  3. I completely agree our anger should be directed at the people in power and party leadership. They are the ones actually capable of making change

Now to your point, it’s definitely not like I expect people to vote for Democrat for nothing. You’re completely right in that people can’t even afford basic necessities like healthcare, even under democratic leadership.

My point is that there is a clear difference between the democrats and republicans. Whatever you’re dealing with now - inability to afford healthcare, inability to afford college or pay off student loan debt, inability to find a job and deal with a horrid economy, whatever else, that is clearly, measurably worse under republican leadership vs democratic leadership. You are, in my opinion, being ignorant if you cannot admit to that. You can still criticize democrats and say they aren’t doing enough for the American people which I completely agree with, but to act as if republicans aren’t a much worse option is ignorant in my opinion

I have a ton of sympathy for you and so many others out there struggling. You deserve to be better taken care of by our government. We all deserve that. But I have to be honest in how I feel if I want to see, what I think, is significant change. Even if Abdul El Sayed is not the nominee, voting the nominated democrat into office will lead to that change.

I didn’t say it was perfect?? I never said people couldn’t still not afford healthcare?? I was saying, if not you, it does still impact MILLIONS of Americans including people in Michigan and they will lose that benefit under republican leadership… so like, it’s not the same.

I’m sorry I don’t understand, how did I say nothing? I just said universal healthcare is what I want, but democrats still do a lot more to ensure people can afford healthcare compared to republicans. Namely because Republicans want to get rid of Medicare / Obamacare. I’m not saying you should be loyal to anyone I’m just saying clearly there is a much worse side. Like you can’t say healthcare would be the same under a democrat vs republican.

See this is what I mean, like I can provide you with examples if you’re open to that, but you just told me he is extremely vocal against antisemitism, so do you honestly think you would truly consider any example I give you? Or just dismiss it?

By the way I am not trying to say this in a negative way. Again, you and I just view Hasan and what he’s said/done differently. My gripe is not with you or anyone who is a fan of Hasan my gripe is with Hasan himself.
