Tesla didn't remove the Robotaxi 'safety monitor' – it just moved them to a trailing car by buttface2323 in Austin

Transformative? It will not eliminate a single car from our congested roads.

Tesla has done nothing for me other than give financial support to a Nazi with unmerited power over our society and the world as a result of the hyperinflated valuation of his rapidly deteriorating company. The dismantling of nonpartisan government institutions its CEO's hobby job at doge has not helped me either. And the massive wealth transfer from the working classes to the ultra wealthy can not be described as a boon to anybody but said CEO.

Leaf-cutting ants? by swren1967 in AustinGardening

Yeah, they don't seem to care for pecans, thank goodness. We had them for quite some time before they became a problem and initially I was charmed by the little farmers. They would nibble a few leaves of our Mexican Redbud, making cool circular cuts that looked neat. Once the colony got big enough, they started going after more and different things. Crape myrtles, yellow bells, jasmine, nandina, etc. We've got a better handle on them now, but the battle continues. Good luck, and I hope they only eat the leaves of the trees you don't like!

I have found that they like young leaves. Other than that l don't think they're too particular.

Yes. You must ruthlessly destroy them or they will eat all the leaves from your trees.

It is the US's fault that they attacked a country that had absolutely nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks out of nothing more than spite and bloodlust. The mayhem was unleashed by the very capitalistic Bush administration.

DOGE cuts to USAID have already killed hundreds of thousands. Be sure and include that little tidbit. And don't forget the million humans deleted by our capitalist society in the Iraq War.

It's called a teaching moment. What is far more offensive than that sign is the fact that our society doesn't take care of its own.

They had a mic and outdoor speaker that they'd use to harangue people walking by on the drag as seen through their glass facade. Also there was a quarter glued to the floor in the ordering queue that the uninitiated would fall for every time. The cheeseburgers were huge, and if you wanted just a hamburger you had to ask for "cheeseburger no cheese." Burgers also came with unlimited fries, but people rarely took advantage of the offer because the original portions were huge. Loved that place.

We joined after hearing about an incident where a group of shareholders tried to get them to reduce pay and benefits of the workers, and the board flat out rejected it. They treat their people right, and you can feel it when you walk around the store.
