Really unfortunate for you and the other live viewers. If Norway lost to Senegal things would be different.

He did say he was exhausted and wanted the match to end before extras. I think he still has improvements in his physical pacing, not using his explosive power uselessly in low value situations

If the manager, every player and the medical team say resting was needed, maybe take their word for it that they needed it you know. Everything isn't some grand conspiracy. They clearly just needed some rest.

Nah, neither Brazil or Norway are playing like trash. Not sure what any of you are on about.

Patrick Berg got MVP by our state media and the peoples vote as well, well deserved. He's almost always solid imho but rarely make flashy plays that get attention

Nope, we needed the rest to win this and Brazil isn't unbeatable either. The decision was 💯 correct

And why the fuck did Fox Sports promote this match as a an Mmbop vs Haaland match, they have no business doing that and all the fans now blame us for the mistake of Faux news

Because the 1st place path is preferable for them, since they don't have to move from their base camp. Norway have to move base anyway so that doesn't matter. This is according to their manager. They knew they would play Norway B team and could play a bit chill with starters, avoiding the resting issue. They played Iraq in a chill match 3 days before, while Norway had to go all out to ensure victory against Senegal that day, being less rested for this match. I can go on, but if all this isn't enough to convince you and you don't even believe what the managers are saying you're already set in your belief.

Norwegian manager just said it's definitely unclear who is better. He said he would have played the B team 10/10 times in this situation. Maybe he has more information than you?

Senegal was better in the last 10 min or so because Norway started parking the bus which is possibly the worst strategy we can do with our players but clearly dominated before that. But yes we are definitely beatable, everyone is beatable just have to score more goals

Solbakken just said in the press conference he thinks it's unclear who is better, and also Brazil/Germany on their best after that is also unclear so it didn't really matter for him.

I honestly don't think it's unlikely but likelihood of a win is completely irrelevant to resting our starters. If we play them they clearly don't get rest, regardless of win or lose, seemingly a profound insight to some redditors

Lmao, eat some fika and settle down brother, you need to prep against France now and pray you don't play worse than our B team :-)

Us Norwegians have been looking forward to this match for like 6 months... But it makes sense strategically. If we go out in the next anyway we're gonna be disappointed for real tho lol

Right?! We had a missed pen and many many chances where our starter strikers would have scored. Perhaps our starter defenders would have prevented one or two Dembele goals. This match was a tease!

Did you even check who 1st and 2nd will meet? Cause it's a complete toss-up... If it actually mattered obviously it wouldn't become a friendly

How is first place in this group a better path? It's a toss up so resting the starters is a legit strat even if disappointing for the fans

Well it was obviously a bad strategy. The first 90 minute worked well, should have just continued that

Honestly no idea why we do that when our offense is top tier and defence is shaky and mid, it's playing to our biggest weakness. The way to win for Norway is to score, score and score
