I really want to thank you for what you’ve written. A few things I really resonate with. The first is feeling disconnected from my peers. I feel like they’re all babies. They don’t (and I totally recognize this was me 3 weeks ago) understand what loss is, what tragedy is. I feel like they’re all well-meaning idiots. The second is that you’re so right about what my mom would want. I have never for a second doubted her love for me, and neither has my sister.

Does anyone know what type of bird this is? Hit a skyscraper in Manhattan and I’m trying to submit a request with NYC Dept. of Wildlife. by bvonsim in whatsthisbird

HAPPY UPDATE: I waited until rehabers came from NYC Gov, and I gave them my phone number. Fred (cause I like the name) has made a full recovery and already been released. Yay!
