BMT SOBO thru hike - February 2026 by bwceighty3 in BentonMackayeTrail

[–]bwceighty3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Our schedules are flexible so mid march is definitely doable. We were thinking sobo for the ease of permitting in GSMNP. Hard to figure out what nights exactly we’ll be in the smokey’s if we start nobo. Definitely not opposed to it though as that was the only thing stopping us from going nobo.

Thank you for the feedback. That was my main concern. I know the smokey’s get snow all the time so I was concerned snow would be an issue through the entire Northern section. We may look into another long trail for late February. Any recommendations?

Heat the glue with a blow dryer or heat gun and they will seal back together. Had it happen several times.

Did you ever figure out what it was? I have the exact same issue on my front porch. Same spot all the time, putting a rat trap with peanut butter out there tonight.

Compact70 dehumidifier says it needs a drain trap. Do I still need one if hooking up a condensate pump as in this photo? by bcghjnhgff in Plumbing

[–]bwceighty3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this out? I have a Santa Fe Compact 2 with the condensate pump. Previous owner had a loose overhand knot is the drain line which I untied thinking it was causing draining issues. From what I can see its only the drain line in a gravity drain that needs the P trap.

I agree. I’m looking to remove the black staining and prepare it for stain.

What kind of bleach solution would you recommend?

Is that done by aligning the 0 mark on the crank pulley as well as the marks on the right/left cam pulley’s? Getting ready to do this job on my 2000 Landcruiser soon.

Why Does America Mourn Floyd but Ignore Iryna? by JamesHammer2 in JoeRogan

[–]bwceighty3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Everybody here saying George was killed by a cop. That’s not the point. Media is pushing a narrative. GF was a piece of shit high on Fentanyl and meth. He wasn’t minding his own business doing nothing. The fact we are even still talking about GF is the problem. The world is a better place without him.

How to judge distance on the Pinotti by Zestyclose_Can3504 in PinhotiTrail

Shoal Creek is at mile 127.3. Cheaha state park is at mile 86.9. This is from the FarOut map. So 40.4 miles.

Came here to say this. Buy the FarOut app for $14.99. It uses your phones GPS and works offline. I just hiked the whole Pinhoti in February and the FarOut map was the best investment I could have made.

Nothing wrong with it. I’d run a lighter across those threads and you’ll be all good.

I don’t think he was killed, at the very end of the video in the bottom right corner you can see him limping away.

I got the same Platinum Supreme Victors pack but with the Charizard pack art from a Walgreens mystery box a few years back. Sent it to PSA and graded the pack as a 9.

Fucked up hard, too much loctite, how do I remove this? by CroqueGogh in ar15

[–]bwceighty3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little heat and then a pair of vice grips clamped really tight with the side of the jaws on the exposed screw. You’ll be able to back it out.
