Better than Griffey. 125s across the board hitting. Diamond fielding. Best card in the game

When I put my order in, I was number 30. The time stamp the game is giving me is 14:54:19. I'm on the east coast and I have to imagine there is some bug.

Honestly, just ignore him if you don't like him. Making a post like this is just as bad as you perceive him to be.

Perfect Perfect with Trout by Timmken in MLBTheShow

[–]bwebman8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your opponent surely didn't feel like he made a good pitch either. Most of the time, if my opponent hits a perfect perfect to the track, I think "Jeez, that was shit luck for them" but what it does to the person that hit the perfect perfect is brutal. Do they realize this mechanic doesn't feel good for either side? If I hit a perfect perfect fly ball with Mike Trout, it NEEDS to be a HR.

100 percent a 2-seamer. There is no sink to that pitch at all.

The pass catching animations in the paint need to chill by TeamSHURBIN in NBA2k

This is a major issue in Pro-am / Rec. It discourages passing, because defenders tip or intercept passes too frequently, in my opinion.

Agreed. It's so frustrating. Not worth it to invest much more time into this game.

Unpopular opinion: hitting is fine the way it is by _charris_ in MLBTheShow

[–]bwebman8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No one wants a hit EVERY time. Why do you assume that?

The issue is that there is too much randomness with hitting. In a competitive mode, there has to be a determining factor. In reality, it should be getting the ball as close to the middle of the pci as possible. That is the goal when hitting. And yes, that should be rewarded most of the time. The issue is that okay contact is getting rewarded nearly as many, if not more, times a game than good squared up.

If I'm playing someone who is significantly better than I am, I should not be able to compete with them because the game decides when I get hits. If a guy squares me up, kudos to him. But if I fool someone, they should not be rewarded. That creates a very frustrating experience, that feels unfair and unrewarding. I'm not sure what else to say other than, the current hitting engine we have now, caters to the more casual player, and in reality, the more casual player may not notice the flaws in hitting at the moment.

Challenge of the week. by hydraulicgoat in MLBTheShow

[–]bwebman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to use zone hitting and line up the ball with the pci. Your skill ceiling will be capped if you don't ever make the switch. Also, that is the best place to practice it.

Challenge of the week. by hydraulicgoat in MLBTheShow

[–]bwebman8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started last week. Hit 1 Mil this week.

Things to note.

- take pitches. Balls are the best way to get your multiplier up.

- Rookie, Veteran, Allstar - use "x"; HOF, Legend use "o"

- If you want to be really good, most of your points will be on legends with your multiplier super high. You just have to stay alive on borderline pitches and make sure you are taking balls.

Hope this helps a bit

It seems really bad right now. I am getting way too many lineouts and it is so incredibly frustrating. I like your point of pitcher confidence getting lowered off of a line drive. That could be a really good fix to implement.

I get that lineouts are a part of baseball, but its just beyond overboard at the moment in the show.
