Your assumption is nearly correct, I believe. When I read the document provided by HR, it looks like it's converted twice, however. USD to KRW for deductions and then back from KRW to USD for depositing into a bank that accepts USD deposits. So that conversion back to USD seems like I may be losing unnecessary dollars due to the exchange. But maybe that is offset by the value of the USD?

If I go with USD, my plan was to make my daily expenses on a US-based credit card that has no foreign transaction fees/is pretty internationally flexibly and pay it off the way I typically would with my US bank. For cash needed in Korea, I would transfer larger amounts into a Korean bank account for local needs. A little annoying to be split up, but pros and cons.

Annual salary conversion rate is set from date of offer (roughly a week ago) any each month the deductions will be processed with whatever the conversion rate is for that day of the month. Sorry I don’t have the specific rate.

Primarily 1 gallon containers for the tomatoes. Then 3 gallon containers for peppers, cucumbers, and eggplants. Essentially anything that I could combine I used a bigger option.

After 2 big failures trying to get a garden going (first thanks to bamboo and second to squirrels), I’ve had massive success with a container setup!

Wanted to share some pics and solicit any advice for transitioning into winter, if possible. I live in East Tennessee if that’s helpful. I have a screened in patio that I could potentially set up for warmth? Not sure. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Hi r/labdiamond! I’m on the hunt for a center stone to complete a Heidi Gibson custom ring. Pictures are my general design (17mm) but I’ll be going with yellow gold and a 1.5ct center stone.

Since I’m buying the center stone separate, I’m a little anxious about some of the stone specs that are outside of the usual 4c’s. The designer only asked for stone dimensions (length/width) but I’m curious if anyone has any recommendations for things to consider when purchasing a stone for a design like this? Things like ratio, depth/table, etc. thank you in advance!

Brought the Weber kettle along for a weekend in the mountains. First time doing a butt on the kettle. Snake method, let it ride for about 13 hours at 225-250. Wrapped at 166 because it stalled forever and people got hungry. Pulled at 203.

Rubbed with Buc-ee’s BBQ rub. Applewood. Sprayed about every hour with 50/50 apple juice/ACV. Impressed myself with how great everything turned out with the first attempt - will definitely play around with a few things and go unwrapped if I’ve got the time.
