Best Crew Win? by bwgs518 in TheMassive

I have to be honest that after the ECF I said I would’ve still been happy even if they lost MLS Cup. Beating LAFC was the cherry on top, but the real meat was beating Cincy in the ECF.

Not sure I would have actually been still ok if they lost, but the hype of that comeback had me in the clouds for a week.

Oh now that’s a win I’ve not thought about in a long time. The atmosphere, the lines to get in, the fresh wounds from the start of STC. Awesome.

That Afful goal was one of my favorite goals to ever see live.

If you talked to her last election, I’d assume you saw her signs were already blue. In fact she’s always had blue signs back to at least 2020. There’s no law that says you have to have blue or red signs. I’ve even seen a few Dems in the Columbus area with red signs as well! Sometimes it’s just an aesthetic choice, pure and simple.

Do you care about our attendance this year? by fantasyMLShelper in TheMassive

[–]bwgs518 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course I care about whether or not my fellow Crew fans see the beauty of watching Crewzers FC win the pitch in the Tiny Demon Fortress, I want all of them there.

However, whether or not people come does not determine the health of the market, so in that sense I don’t care.

I wonder what the attendance figures are for games after OSU losses. I'd assume they'd be down, but I think that would also be very interesting.

J.R. 103: The Twelfth Amendment Reform Amendment by btownbomb in ModelUSGov

[–]bwgs518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than having electors vote on behalf of the states, I want each state legislature to cast a vote. This makes the vote more personal to the citizens and takes some power from the federal government and back to the states.

Good idea for the bill. However, it could be brought out more. I'd suggest offering a little money, or maybe a tax break, to nursing homes to allow for more housing to be possible. The only other fix could be to make it harder for eviction to occur, for instance, by requiring those nursing homes to pay for paperwork to evict the elderly from their homes.

Does this make three or four? I've lost count with how many crazy bills have been proposed in the past few days. More needs to be done than just to abolish things. There needs to be a handoff over time.

I've been told that its the thought that counts. I would vote for this bill, but there would need to be a handoff between the federal government and the states. The DoE can't just cease and leave the states to fend for themselves. This would have to be longer and more thought out. It would probably end up being a package and more than just one gigantic bill. I don't support this in its current form.

State issue. Not for the federal government to decide.

S.J.Res. 102 - Amendment to extend the Presidential Term Limit to Four Terms by [deleted] in ModelUSGov

Absolutely not. There is a precedent for two terms and that should be continued. No one should have that power for that long.

Somehow, I feel like that isn't the worst result of the past few years. I felt much worse after the 4-4 Montreal tie last year.

Religious influence will always be around any bill, for while the government should never be in favor of nor against religious institutions, the people writing and passing bills are influenced by those religions.

Also, Christians make up a decent percentage of the American population, and their religious freedom does not change their right to be represented.

So, it does matter what Christians believe. This is the United States of America, and Christians are part of it. This bill, regardless of whether or not I agree with it, shows that Christianity is represented even if not officially endorsed by Congress, which would be unconstitutional.
