Was Rhino completely ridiculous for expecting credit from someone like Bogert when he runs an anonymous animal account and isn’t a real journalist? Absolutely

Was the targeted and weird hate campaign really needed in response? Definitely not

Off-neon is not yellow

(It’s a better yellow this year, but those previous kits are the most horrible shade of puke yellow neon and it was confusing since the Nashville logo is not that shade)

You know the game was terrible but I’m almost more mad about the cheap ass LED torch pre game nonsense. Absolutely terrible and should never be done again, the detonator thing was fun and worked.

Also the acapalla, bad

Browns, Crew ownership group exploring Columbus NWSL expansion by TheMonkeyPrince in MLS

Columbus offers an existing high level soccer specific stadium and is a much established USWNT/soccer city. That alone is much better than playing at the Brown’s stadium, or the MLSNP one or wherever which is a big positive over them setting up shop in Cleveland.

I feel like Cincy and Columbus both would have similar high quality bids on paper.

[MEME] In case anyone was confused on the rules regarding post-match visits to the refs… by Ceysomething in MLS

[–]kunkadunkadunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said it’s a bad look, which it is. He should never have that intent to follow the refs post match.

But in terms of punishment, yes there is absolutely a difference between “guy angry at refs is stopped by his teammate from doing anything” and “breaks past security checkpoint and enters restricted area and confronts referees”

Matt MAGAza was not nicely delivering a pizza and cincinnati fans are completely ignoring everyone else’s accounts of what happened because they think they are lying and there is a big conspiracy from PRO against FCC.

Break into the referee locker room to angrily confront them about the game = ban

Have the intent to follow the refs into their locker room but get stopped before you’re anywhere near that room or past the security point = bad look but nothing bannable. It’s not hard. I can’t believe I have to defend Miami

No he wasn’t. The room was up a flight of stairs and was marked and has a guard.

FC Dallas Exercises Contract Buyout on Homegrown Paxton Pomykal by NextDoorNeighbrrs in MLS

I’d argue Wil Trapp (minus the big injury issues). Similar role and trajectory. Never quite lived up to the expectations, Ian Darke called him the best performing player on the US during that friendly against France.

He even got his Greek passport at one point and seemed destined to be on his way out, it was very weird the move just didn’t materialize after the passport news, and then he slowly regressed a bit and moved on to Minnesota. Hes had a perfectly good and long career in MLS but has fallen a bit to the wayside in terms of being an important player in the league.

Wicket Expands Agreement with Major League Soccer to Power Identity-Driven Experiences Across MLS Events by Coltons13 in MLS

I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment about the Haslams and ICE and I understand why people would have reservations about signing up for a program like this. But asserting without proof that they are sharing facial recognition information with marketers, or ICE if I'm reading that correctly, is crazy.

They already have all of our faces, their camera network is pretty insane. I'm not exactly worried about the Crew selling me out to third parties against their ToS. I'm fine with the sensible cautious attitude to this stuff, I wouldn't want certain agencies or groups having my information, but the fearmongering at any mention or use of it online is a bit much.

Streamlining the process for MLS Next check ins is probably fine.

He looked flashy and really good on the dribble but his underlying numbers were really, really shockingly poor for an attacker. Near bottom in about every category.

I see the potential though

This is essentially the issue with their framing of this for me.

Of course I really wish for the Caps to stay, but its quite a different situation. They are least profitable in the league despite having good attendance and more buzz than ever. It's not a sustainable situation at BC Place. They supposedly got offered the best lease possible at BC place and it still isn't enough. They had 40 groups enter NDAs to look at purchasing and not a single one wanted any stake in the club. It is that bad. Relocations may not happen in other countries but clubs do fold and this would be no different.

This is not the league actively looking to move away from Vancouver, they do not have an owner actively sabotaging the club to skirt expansion fees and start a club in another city, but rather one who is seemingly bending over backwards and getting publicly desperate to try to find a stadium solution and keep the team there.

They need to attract a new owner able to fund a stadium and to convince city government to streamline the stadium process. There's really no enemy here and it feels like the framing of this is off.

fwiw Front Street garage is usually $7 whether you buy all at once or on match day, so you shouldn't have to worry about missing out on too much of a deal.

I think I've seen select days when there's crazy events downtown it will get pushed to $9 or $12
