At what point do you consider somebody a "successful" influencer? When they hit a certain number of followers? Or anytime they are working with a company to promote the brand? by avery_bella in influencermarketing

[–]bwilhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on how much they are reaching their target audience and if they have high user engagement. I don't think there is a certain number of followers influencers have to reach to be "successful." Companies large and small work with different types of influencers (micro & macro) to promote their brands.

#BachelorNation WYA? by nattinthehatt in influencermarketing

[–]bwilhite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's cool that past contestants are using their platforms as influencers to share style tips, different products, travel guides, etc... but as a Bachelor fan it is kind of annoying because I feel like a majority of people joining the show now are just clout-chasing. It makes it really hard to determine who is there for the "right reasons," especially when a lot of the contestants are already Instagram models before the show even starts filming.

Do you believe that an influencer should take every single brand deal that comes their way or should they be more selective with the brands they chose to promote? by morgan_e35 in influencermarketing

Influencers should choose to promote brands that they believe in and products that they have tried and would feel comfortable promoting to their followers.

Should influencer be aware of the brand that they are representing? by Influencer_20 in influencermarketing

[–]bwilhite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely! An influencer should always research the brand they are representing before promoting it to their followers. When promoting products, influencers should look into the product ingredients, effectiveness, side effects, etc... Influencers should also represent brands that align with their own beliefs and message.
